Ebay restricted selling

Soolin, is that really what you meant to say? I hope not. Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's fair, or even morally acceptable. It is not unfair for a shop, website or any venue to ban whosoever they want, a lot of the time they do not have to give a reason at all. At least ebay give a period of approximately 3 months warning to enable sellers to change whatever it is their buyers don't like. Really though that is the point, it is not ebay that decide who should go or not, it is ultimately up to the buyers- and if they have judged that you are below standard compared to other sellers then ebay can only act on that.0 -

Unfortunately life is not fair . My son was denied entry to a venue only a month or so ago as his clothing did not meet the dress code- unfair, possibly, illegal, not at all. Is it morally acceptable ? Maybe, maybe not but is up to the venue to allow or not allow entrance.
What about places like Costco where you need to satisfy certain working criteria to be a member..that is no harsher than eBay banning people based on how buyers rate them.
I think it more useful for the Op to follow my earlier suggestion to see if there is any leeway in their expanded dashboard and unfair stars. whilst we all have sympathy for the OP sympathy alone based on a moral code won't help the OP at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. having a bit of a headache atm with what to do as from 1st August, you only get top rated seller badge if you offer free delivery. Currently I say my delivery is £3 for an item even though its only £1.80 but the buyer doesn't know this. Im paying no fees on the £3 so thats 30p saved. Times this by say 50 sales a day, thats £15, and almost £5k per year just by not giving free postage.
but now ebay are only giving you top rated seller badge if you give free delivery, stick or twist...not sure yetThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

No, buyers are spotting that you are ripping them off by £1.20 and they will end your eBay career by giving you low P&P stars, just as the OP has had theirs ended .
Bye Bye....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -

Bye Bye....
But is he ripping them off if his item price + P&P price is the lowest on ebay as a result? They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I think we may have wandered off the original thread a bit - sorry, OP. OTOH, this is shaping up to be another epic how-much-should-we-set-postage-at thread.
Hoorah! Oh goody!
Said no-one, ever.
So on that note, I'm off to bed! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
