Again Parking Eye !
I parked in Morrisons car park free 30 mins no ticket longer you have to pay n enter your reg. Parked didn't get a ticket didn't expect to be long. Got stuck in a shop as their photo machines not working. Today got a parking charge notice from parking eye for £85 or £50 if paid within 2 weeks.
They quote this new 'protection of freedoms act 2012 section 4'

Please has the law now been changed ?

Do I pay up or ignore ?????

Thanks

NEVER pay up! That's a given!
The act they are quoting they are just citing to cause you to think that they have some law behind them. They do not. It just allows them to pursue the registered keeper of the vehicle if they are not given the name and serviceable address of the driver. The enforceableness of their fake ticket remains the same as that of their fake tickets pre PoFA Oct 1st 2012.
The advice now is not to ignore Parking Eye's fake ticket scam. You need to 'appeal' to them by using the template suggestions on this forum(do a search, easy to find, contributor Stroma has a good one.) Then when Parking Eye rejects it, as they will, return here for the proper hard appeal to POPLA(Parking on Private Land Appeals) which with help you will win and get Parking Eye's ticket cancelled.
This is the standard advice now with Parking Eye but others here may well ask you pertinent questions to see if it is for you right now. For example. Complaining to Morrisons and get them to cancel. Showing Parking Eye you were a customer of Morrisons and that you spent £30 or so there at that time. Parking Eye have been known to cancel ticket for that reason.
Anyway, wait til others more expert than me before you act. :)

No idea...must have missed it?!!! :rotfl:

The forum does have a search facility...try 'POPLA appeal' to learn what's involved these days by challenging it and winning, or how about just reading the new threads around your own, ALL OF WHICH COVER THIS?!

Sorry, very fed up with 'same old same old' threads and people not searching. Even if unsure how to use the 'search this forum' button(!) surely newbies could read some other similar threads. And what about the notice in red at the top of the forum, did you miss it?!
