Data usage on Samsung Galaxy Young

Could anyone tell me is there any way to find out what is using up the data on a mobile phone?

It's a Samsung Galaxy Young but in 28 days it has nearly exceeded 1 GB usage (there's 1013.89 MB left). It's on Virgin network with PAYG SIM and monthly 1GB data bundle.

I'm not great with technology. It's linked to my Gmail account. Is this likely to be the reason or is it more likely to be an app. If it's an app, can I tell which one?

Was considering a Monthly SIM only deal but wary of exceeding data usage as it states 1GB maximum per month and not sure what happens if this is exceeded.

If there is over 1000 mb left then it's fine. Do you mean you've used that amount?

I've just realised that the bar must go down not up as data is used. Doh!

Therefore I don't need to worry as you said.

Before I signed up for data bundle it was charging £1 most days out of my credit!!!!!! Not certain why as it states 50p a day for up to 250MB.

However now I've signed up for data bundle realised it only using a small amount daily as I'm able to access my data usage.

Maybe the monthly sim for £7 a month may suit you when you worked out your data usage.

There are many apps available that will monitor both WiFi and mobile data totals and warn you if you are getting close to any limits. Try them out!
