My partner had applied for a loan online and the next day we received a phone call ( I answered it as he was at work). I was informed that he had been approved for the loan, they had all his details dob, bank details etc.
I informed them that he was at work they said as he had already done most of the paperwork online they could deal with me ( alarm bells started ringing as we are not married and it wasnt a joint claim).
The man told me what the monthly repayments would be and if I was happy with the amount - I said yes expecting him to say he would call my partner back to confirm.
Anyway he went on to say as it was an unsecured loan he would need the first months payment today before he could transfer he money. I told him I cant make a payment of my partners card ( loud bells started ringing by now) he said no he couldn't accept it as we hadnt signed our direct debit form but he needed me to go to the nearest paypoint and purchase a ukash voucher for £110 then call him back with the voucher numbers - he even told me where the nearest paypoint was and it should only take me 30 mins.
I agreed to do this and hungup.
I had never heard of ukash so googled it and because of all the alarm bells and my gut instinct I'm glad I did.
Since then they have called me every 10mins left lots of voicemails on both landline and mobile.
I did answer once to tell them I was aware its a scam and have no intention of giving them any money. Lets just say the reply I got was very blue and shocking.
They have still been calling me.
I have informed the fraud team and am waiting for the police to contact me.
This company seems to use a few names uk finance and I dont remeber the other but they call from 02032906461
Please be aware they are preying on the desperate

It is clearly a scam. If they ring back answer the phone and see how long you can keep them on the line by talking bs xD Its my fav game lol0

Well done on spotting the scam - just remember that people who want loans are not expected (in the real world) to pay for them upfront. Be aware you're on a suckers list now (even though you sussed them out, you were a near hit), so expect a load more calls :-(
ETA - if you are EVER even slightly in doubt, just ask on scamwarners.com - the information is absolutely spot-on, they are extremely knowledgeable and it is always completely free and impartial.0 -
I've now managed to block the number on the mobile
Yeah the other name was geo finance.
I can see how people fall for this. As I had never heard of ukash he told me it was a new way to transfer money.
They get very nasty when you tell them your not going to do it, said my partner should drop dead and all sorts.
I just wanted to make people aware it
Btw as my partner is the person who applied for the original loan I wasnt sure what company he had used so was only after having the strange telephone conversation that I googled them0 -

Is that the WORST EVER website or what! lol!!
Reading it, you can virtually hear the accent of the people responsible!
They've put this website up so that they can convince suckers that they are genuine!
I've seen better worded Nigerian scams than this inept attempt to appear legitimate!0 -
"We offer our users a wide range of debts"
I'll just bet they do...0 -
Even I can tell this isn't correct English, and I'm a crazy foreigner!
Oh, this has made me laugh! :rotfl::eek:💙💛 💔0
