Buying house in Scotland

Options
I have had an offer accepted on a property in Scotland, I am having serious doubts on the situation. Can I pull out as the missives have not been signed?

Pretty sure unless the missives have been 'concluded' it is not binding and you have no liability.

I spoke with solicitor on Thursday and they weren't as he is waiting on mortgage and deposit letter from parents which I am holding back. Do you think that I will incur any penalties.

I'm by no means an expert - but i don't believe so. You're best contacting your solicitor.

You'll probably still have solicitors fees to pay as he has done work for you.

    Not until missives are concluded.

    Section 1, para 4.

If the OP continues to use the same solicitor for another purchase, they shouldn't face significantly higher fees than they would had they purchased this one, perhaps a small premium for the work done since the withdrawal is at the buyer's request, not a failed offer.

    Why are you withdrawing, OP?

    Section 1 paragraph 4 says I don't have to give a reason?
