Well mission accomplished but blooming hell am I knackered!!

It took such a long time. I finished the book at midnight and then when I clicked order it said the photos I had used were still uploading to the site and it would be another 45 mins! So I actually got to bed at 1am :( Now fingers crossed they arrive in time.

Things are coming together. My book people order says it has been dispatched finally. Just a few loose ends.

    Today....

    Work 8 till 2.30
Swimming club after school- wash DDs hair there.
    Lunch from stores- chicken sandwich!
    Decide on dinner
Pack kids stuff for sleepover tomorrow night
Pack our stuff for night away :-)
Reading with the kids as they haven't done any this week
Try and get a hair appointment.
Make sure I get blank cards today to make my Xmas cards- leaving it a bit late.

    Hi all....

Haha Domayne, I didn't know that. I just searched online for images of Orange Fairies :)

Only a 5 hour day at work and then hubby and I have a 3.5 hour drive to watch Imagine Dragons in Bournemouth. I am so excited- it will be great to get away with hubby :)

Everything is packed and MIL has a list of times and details. Just said goodbye to the kids and will see them tomorrow afternoon.

Need to print out Pre33o vouchers today which I ordered with my tesc0 vouchers. We have £30 to use so we can have pudding :-) love a 'free' dinner.

When I come back tomorrow I have my meal out with my besties so I am putting a mental budget of £30 for that.

Need to check banking as after I felt I had a healthy balance I feel I have been spending a bit haphazardly. I need to be a bit more careful!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend

It's Christmas next week!!!!! Woohoo! Just 37.5 hours left of work!!!

We had a great time away on Friday night. Imagine Dragons were AMAZING! I was a little gutted that Pre33o was full so we had to pay for a meal somewhere else. It wasn't too bad though as it was a lovely meal and we only spent £24. Then Saturday night one of my friends was ill and so the other friend and I opted for a pub lunch catch up without the drinking. So spent £17 rather than my expected £30 so saved £13 that night. And I still have the vouchers left to use :)

A lot of presents I had been waiting for filtered in on Friday. Now I am waiting on DDs phone to arrive which is my biggest worry and my Nans photo book. Handmade all my Xmas cards last night and wrote them all. Just need to do addresses etc now.

The shadow over the weekend was a falling out with MIL. She told our girls that Father Christmas wasn't real and that we buy the presents!! !!!!!! they are 10 and 8. DD1 pretty much knows but doesn't really want to admit it incase she doesn't get anything. But DD2 believes 100% in all the magic and tells stories of seeing FC and his elves. What is wrong with her!!! So hubby rung her and told her how upset and annoyed we were and she cried. Then FIL rang up and had a go at hubby for upsetting her and we are now not welcome in their house until we apologise!!!!! MIL said DD2 asked and she wasn't going to lie! She has 'lied' for the last 10 years about FC! So why not now!! I am blooming livid! I have worked my hours round so I don't leave the kids in MILs company before Xmas. Luckily DD1 said 'well how could you afford the stocking with everything you get us as well' and DD2 said 'it's just one of Nannys lies again'. She has tried to steal the Christmas magic away from my 8 year old and it will be a while before I forgive her for that :(

  • Aw thats such a shame for your girls, what a silly thing for a Gran to say!! I can't believe she would tell them, if she didn't want to "lie" she should have said, "oh you'll have to ask your mum about that" or something! I'd be furious too - the Christmas magic goes far too quickly as it is, kids seem to find out younger and younger these days without grandparents spoiling it.

Hopefully she sees sense and apologies to you.

Well things with MIL haven't improved. They don't want to see us or the kids on Christmas day now which is incredibly mean to the kids! :( Nevermind....we haven't done anything wrong so we will get on with things.

Had my Skittles team dinner last night. My Nan bought me a drink and the landlord gave free tea and coffee so only £14 spent including a tip :j

Hubby is out tonight for a meal and drinks...his will be rather expensive. The girls and I had home-made wedges with fish for them and veggie burger for me from the freezer. About the sit down and watch a film with them in a sec which will be nice.

Tomorrow is going to be food shopping day and I am dreading it. We are doing a Christmas dinner on Xmas eve for DSS who is over between 1 and 8pm. We have £40 nect@r points so that will help.

I am really looking forward to 2014. I will become debt free, I plan to lose weight and get healthier, get more organised around working full time, declutter the house and spend some more quality time with hubby and our girlies.

January will start with keeping up with all the small things that make a difference. Eating more cheaply and keeping a strict budget!

Hubby is doing website work and won't say how much he will get for doing it. I won't push him as he may be putting it towards my 30th birthday present!

I hope everyone is having a festive time
