You can put it in the SC whole, or in joints, a good idea to cook in SC as the bones are quite small and fiddly and it's a pain to get the meat off them but SC will cook it until meat drops off.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

I can't stand the smell of rabbit cooking in the SC so if you're a bit iffy over such a strong meaty smell then it might be better in the oven.
Kidkat - DD2 split with her BF during the week and has now realised she's made the biggest mistake of her life.......insert lots of crying, a panic attack, some hormonal teenage door slamming and you get the idea. She's meeting him today for a chat so she'll either be all smiles when she comes home or we'll be back on the door slamming and snotty snivelling. Fun times!
I've got so much housework to do today but after a late start I'm not feeling very motivated. 5 cats make a lot of mess, I'm considering training them to wear wellies outside, to pick up their toys and to stop leaving fluff everywhere........think I might be a while!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. Oh dear pooky I am rather hopeful that dd19 is almost about to spilt with her BF but not looking forward to the fall out. It would be the best thing that ever happened to Dd however so would be worth all the agnst in the long run to get Dd back to the person she was before this one started taking over her life and making her feel so useless and panicky. She has not done any driving lessons in months because he has her convinced she would be rubbish and could not cope with stress of driving.
I do hope your DD BF realises it was mistake for him too and is ready to talk and make up.0 -
Morning all, POOKY what a few days you have had. My youngest DD saw aphoto from a party on Friday of her bf with a very scantily dressed 'friend' who happens to like him a lot. Roll on a lot of text messages, she went to see him last night for 'words'. They have been together 2 years and his family adore her. His mum was not happy with the picture either, as she put a message against it!!

Kidcat, your right. When the girls were little they were noisey playing at home, but you knew where they were and what they were doing. Now they are noisy but you only see them when they have a problem and only 'mum' can deal with it. Taxi driver mum here, need to go and collect her, as shes requested transport

Afternoon Toughies we've just been and collected 4 well grown kent cobnut bushes from a friend who has them sprouting all over her garden courtesy of the squirrels! We had one last year and the new 4 are planted in a line beside it in one of our borders. They produce lots of nuts so I'm looking forward to some nice harvests in the future. It's been a lovely drying day here so I changed the beds and the bedding is washed, dried and folded up in the airing cupboard, super!!! I had an evening out yesterday as my lovely SIL and I went to see the second part of The Hobbit and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. We both got so caught up in the film that we were surprised when it ended, I know people have said it's a very long watch but it's well worth it and I now really want to see the third one when it is released, pure fantasy but beautifully made. We followed it up with supper at Waggamammas which was delicious and were home by 10 o clock, very enjoyable it was too!! Lyn xxx.0

Afternoon
I've not come across cobnut before, fingers crossed they get comfy and bare endless nuts
What a beautiful day. Mud, wellies, exploring and laughter in our part of the woods and its been a long time coming!
We're having a late lunch of toast, cheese, chutney and pate - we feel rich indeed. Pork with onion gravy in SC for this evening.
Difficulties have arisen overnight with mam and sister. Crux is sister wants a family holiday staying in my house (2 up 2 down, only big enough for one family of 4 never mind 2 families!) so I said no (remember my family staying in MIL's loft conversion while we were between houses for 3 weeks with the possibility of DH and I in the back street in the caravan while sister had her 4 bedroom house?) so I don't feel guilty in saying no. I really don't. The problem is it's backfired on my mam as sister has said mam will have to make her own way down to see us as sister needs a break and won't be offering her a seat in the car. I've got very upset over the games and manipulations.
So trying to enjoy my life and appreciate all I have while staying dealing with family entering my thoughts.
OS wise I've ran out of wool! I know where the hobby craft is and how to get to it but I don't want to spend the money right now. We have daffodils popping through in the front garden which is nice. No outdoor line yet as haven't been nagging DH to out it up but the sun today has made me see I need to in the coming weeks. Dare we look forward to spring or too early yet?0 -
Fuddle if you keep your eyes open you can often find really cheap coach tickets which may be good for your mum. Train tickets again are sometimes on offer a week so you could try watching for those. There were £1 coach trips a few backs back. Hope you get it sorted.0
