    Hi All

Not been posting as busy with a trio of sick relly's and DH with 'Man Flu' - been lurking though.

Great News Stiltwalker - your hard work paid off!

Fuddle - so glad you seem to have turned the corner & things are on the up for you at last

SDG - sending 'vibes' that your ring turns up. I do remember getting DH to dismantle every P trap in the house - & it wasn't there! - found it when I stripped the bed!

Sending hugs to all who may need them
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Brilliant mews Fuddle, I hope the girls settle in as well as you seem to have done. As they are built of the same stuff as you I expect they will be fine. Good luck with your training.

Shegar Hope you are well and resting.

SDG I lost my wedding ring once, hubby replaced it then we changed the bedroom around and found it underneath the wardrobe. Hope you manage to find it.

Congratulations to the Stiltwalker family, what a clever lot you are.

Hugs to all who need them.

Congrats on the job fuddle, sounds perfect for you in more ways than one. I think the 'clients' will love you. An hour seems good, better than these 15 min slots some places do. A job like that would suit me actually.

SDG - I hope I am right but I have a feeling (no idea why) that your ring is in your house somewhere. What works for me sometimes is to make a concious decision to not look for it and in fact try and forget about it. Sometimes then I find it in some random place or I suddennly remember where it might be. Don't give up hope yet. A friend once hid her engagement ring in a tampon box and lost it for weeks and I lost a key fairly recently and found it in an old welly boot (and have lost it again :()

Good luck with your crafting preps ginny and say hello to smilyt please.

Kez forgot to say last time, hugs to you and DS who was (hope still isn't?) so poorly. Scary for you with the vomiting stuff.

Glad DD is on the mend nutty. A hair wash will make her feel so much better.

Anyone heard from Mrs Chip or jem lately?

I forgot to say I christened my shiny new slow cooker for the first time this week, chicken casserole, not bad but need to reduce the liquid next time. Must have another go soon.

I have been doing lots of teeny tiny jobs today as playing nursemaid to DS7 and couldn't do any big jobs (anyone fancying Xmas shopping or defrosting 2 freezers masquadering as icebergs for starters?) Satisfying to get a few of the long odds and ends list ticked off. Also been sorting through childrens' clothes, they are growing again, most inconvenient!

    sq :)

Shegar - is it worth a phone call to see if they can change your appointment time? Explain your situation, they can only say no. Hope you get something sorted.

ginny say hi to smileyt for us all :)
    good luck with the market

fantastic news fuddle! See told you, as soon as you arrived your whole life would change and guess what it only has. Brilliant news :D

sorry haven't been on, i'm shattered, i've barely slept since Thursday so my brains all messed up, no change there then :rotfl:

Thanks for asking SQ, ds2 is still off school, he threw up all over our bed this morning. OH helped me clean everything up and then he went and slept in ds2's bed. whilst i shared with ds2, he didn't want daddy only mammy and he was so hot. Burning up isn't in it. So as soon as OH left the room we had loads more room.

Think ds1 will be off tomorrow, he came from school pale, while as a sheet and looked very ill. OH has the same thing.

Missed the coffee morning with the main group i'm involved in, told school i won't be volunteering tomorrow. Feel bad as normally its only myself and one other person who gets everything done ready for the evening. I hope someone else helps them out.

Oh and guess what my dad asked about chikcens yesterday so he's on the look for them. e's going to get another key for me for the back gate to the allottment. So could have chickens and part of an allotment site soon :D:D:D

    Chuffed to bits :D

Fuddle - so pleased to hear about the job and the girls' schools :j:j

Please don't worry about the younger one being at a Catholic school. It will have a Christian ethos, e.g. learning to treat other people as you would wish to be treated yourself, and they won't try to turn her into a Catholic. I'm sure she won't be the only non-Catholic there :)

SDG - So sorry about your ring, but I bet it will turn up. As others have said, don't give up hope. Things do turn up in the oddest of places.

Shegar - (((HUGS))), how awkward about your appointment! I would do as SQ suggests and see if they can offer you a better time.

nuttyp - Glad DD is on the mend! I bet she feels much better after her hairwash.

Kezlou - Chickens, how lovely ! I bet the boys would love them.

((HUGS)) to everyone who needs some. Although I don't post on here regularly I do read the thread every day and think of you all, you are lovely. :)

I'm going to write it in here so you can all remind me.....my wedding ring is behind the bookcase.

I took it off to make pastry, it made it to the top of the bookcase on its way back to my jewellery box and one of the cats knocked it down.....I can't face the task of removing the 500 or so books to move the book case.....so could you all remember please? Thanks

    :)

  • Great news Fuddle.
Hubby lost his wedding ring and it turned up under the sofa.
I've just done an online shop, £140 but some of it is for DD2 as she's been waiting for her expenses since April!
