Byatt,
I am not really a cat person but he is gorgeous, looks very regal and aloof. I bet he makes sure you serve him well.
Shegar,
Thank you for the update, enjoy your supper then back to the fire and Bo, that is a polite order.

Ever have one of those days where feel bit down and sorry for self.
I tried so hard to be more upbeat and positive.
but woken up 3 times last night
4 hours sleep.,
mad stressful monday school run only 5 mins late today.
had 2separate schools to drop girls off at
then walk to high street
where realised forgotton money so couldent buy some bargains in co-op.
helped out at baby group.
long walk home.
literally home half an hour
then long walk preschool.
saw lovley mate who never seems to worry about money saying she been down town shopping and lunch and her and her kids were all in designer clothes and they just brought their dream house.
Guess thats downside living in affluent area im surrounded by people who dont really think about money and to us seem extravagent.
Is it wrong to think when will our luck come in wen will things improve austerity seems to be going on forever.
Me looking crap, 2stroppy toddlers has 40mins wait between preschool end and primry end so hubg out on common was dry but cold.
Then walked to co-op 3whiney kids.
some stuff tahtw as in there earlier now wasent:(
litterally got to checkout and surveyed what i brought
value soup
reduced chicken slices
reduced mini quiche.
reduced mini cakes.
value mouses and value yogurts.
it looked so little and rubbish.
it really just was top up but no meal solutions just snacks and lunchbox stuff . dident see any reduced fruit.
went saisburys got reduced wraps and value choc for kids.
Then walked long walk home in kids as couldent afford the bus fare whilst everyone else in the world seems to drive and have a car round here so they think me odd and pitty me walking most of time.Must have walked easily 6miles today.
Most of time in fine walking but today im tired, kids were whiney and cold was biting.
I dont even want to be rich just would sette for not worrying about grocery bill or having option of taking bus.
It week before payday and not sure wo much this months pay is.
middle childs preschool xmas part clashes with baby boys dental so not sure of hubby can swop another headcahe.
Nothing simple need to chase up tax credits tommorow.
house looks like pit of doom.
everyones fixated with xmas seen few lights and trees up locally this eveing and on fb.
I did have long soak in bath yesterday and looked at old xmas mags and have some ideas just need the time.
Decided sod the housework getting kids bed early and watching something off planner and chilling and ill get early night and take sleeping pill and ope wake up better mood tommorow.
hope everyone else is ok.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

Big hug Gailey, just think how much those other people spend on gym memberships that you don't need or how much pleasure you get from watching your kiddies play or feed the ducks on your walks home from school - you can't do that in a big shiney car
Your finances will settle down, your kids will grow up, but I bet they will always remember those walks home from school and the fun they had with their mum being able to spend so much time with them.

Here I am, late again.
Shegar: It's about time you had a luxurious lie in and a few hours of doing (or not doing) something just for yourself. Give yourself a little holiday at home.
Gailey: I know what it's like living in an affluent area when you don't have a penny to bless yourself with. If it's any consolation your children won't be aware that things are different for them. My two (all grown up and with children of their own) often tell me that they had no idea that things were so hard and never once felt that they were missing out. it's us who feel bad for them. I remember one Christmas when our neighbour's three children came round to show us the big ride-on toys they'd had for Christmas. Later I found my youngest, aged about 3, sobbing in the kitchen. He wanted to know if he hadn't been good enough for Santa to give him such big toys. He very soon cheered up and doesn't remember anything about it, but I still break my heart when I think about that.
On the other hand my eldest went to stay overnight with a very wealthy friend and came back absolutely appalled. He said that they were so poor ( a merchant banker? I don't think so!) that they had to stick sacks on the walls instead of wallpaper. It was when it was fashionable, and expensive, to have walls covered with hessian.:D
So don't worry about the children missing out. They aren't because they've got you.
I also know what it is like to have to walk everywhere. We lived at the top of a very steep hill and I used to push the pram up the hill with the baby in it, a toddler sitting on the end of it and a pile of shopping underneath it feeling that every step I took would be my last.
All these things pass and although that's not much comfort now you will survive and things WILL get better. Promise!
I must get off to bed. Tomorrow I am going to learn how to make interesting cushion covers. I am very slow and not very good at these things but I do enjoy learning something new. I'll let you know how I get on.

Morning toughies its mad busy Christmas rush here, I have four days until my self imposed Christmas shopping deadline so am trying to get finished. More issues with OH again at the moment and I am feeling really low, worthless and as though I have no one around me in real life who isnt either lying to me or calling me for everything. My head tells me to suck it up and get with it but my heart is struggling.
Gailey - I have been for years where you are now, surrounded by people who have two or three foreign holidays a year, have two or three brand new cars and out for fancy meals twice a week. When the eldest two were growing up it all felt so hard, digging out of debt etc, but those people are the ones whose kids left for Uni in Sept and havent been home or even called since. You are doing something far more important you are building a strong resilient family who will appreciate the value of all not just money.
But I do get how miserable it feels some days. ((Hugs))0 -
Morning all,
Really feeling for all of you having a hard time of life. Wish I could hand round a bit of apple cinnamon cake and a cup of tea and let you all just sit for a bit.
Feeling a bit wound up this morning as something has come up. It will be fine, but its upset a bit of my planning and at such a busy time I find that challenging. Having a bit of a hard time switching off and getting started on work today. Household stuff is done, bedroom airing, yesterday's clean washing put away and today's washing out on the line to air a bit before I bring it in to dry...but can't seem to get my head on straight.
SDG, if you're this conscientious about the ring AND it is a bit tight then it seems unlikely that you wouldn't have noticed losing it outside the house. Have you checked any suitcases, bathroom cupboards, near sinks/mixers in the the kitchen, coat pockets, bedside drawers, and any other places where you might take it off to do something? I do hope that it turns up.
Byatt, what a lovely little gent!
Shegar, I hope you're able to recover a bit and meet the upcoming challenges. Emotional strain can take so much out of us physically and this is on top of everything else that you do!
Gailey, some days are just harder than others aren't they? I hope today feels brighter. I think an early night was a great plan, and I love looking at old mags for ideas! Might add that to my list to do tomorrow night while OH is at parent's evening!
Hugs to all of those who need them.x0
