Softstuff - please take it easy & listen to your body. Ops often take longer to recover from than we imagine. Just 'cos the outside is healing well you must remember the inside can take a LOT longer - so don't push yourselfSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I've been gentle I promise. I did a tiny bit of grocery shopping (more for a bit of out of the house time than anything) and stopped half way for a therapeutic iced coffee at the cafe, complete with cream, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Food based prozac. I also bought a second pair of cheap giant pants to stop me trying to force my wound into my normal sized pants (I doubt deluxe iced coffee will be helping the pant situation :rotfl:). Hubby is still doing all fetching and carrying, he also ironed for me. And meals are of the very simple variety in the main.

Evening all
So sorry I've not posted in probably over a week?! I've been busy both with work and DH and well life! Last time I posted I said that DH had been signed off sick which he still is, until the end of December when he will re assess with the gp. I also said that I'd be finishing work at 3pm Thursday as I'd handed my resignation in.
Well, we had our boss come in on wed morning last week to speak to us about everything. He said he hadn't been allowed to accept my resignation as it was 'under duress' whatever that means? So, I've been allowed to take very reduced hours for the foreseeable. We have someone else in covering the running of the pub so I'm picking up some extra responsibilities but I have less hours.
Where it will all go from here I honestly don't know, I'm not too happy with any of it at the moment either way tbh.0 -

I was really hoping, for your sanity, that you'd be done by now MrsDWhite. And as for your resignation being under duress, I'd say every time you're in there you're under it, but I'm not sure what that has to do with him taking your resignation.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

I've noticed the difference with DS2 being at high school, & when DS1 was at 6th form, they asked for even less. This year, we had raffle tickets come home (£10 in total), I've bought tickets for mum & me to watch the Christmas celebration (£8 but could have been £6 if I'd asked for a concession for mum), because DS2 is taking part, & I sent in 2 tins of soup for homeless people so he can wear non uniform on the last day of term.
At preschool, we've had our Christmas show today. That's free, as is seeing Father Christmas & getting a gift (a book, that cost us just under a pound a book, plus we wrap the books), mince pie, biscuits & drinks. We did have a teddy tombola & guess how many sweets in a jar that parents could do, but it's not a hard sell. We raised £35 on them both, giving a net profit of £30 (Teddies & sweetie jars were donations, raffle tickets we've had from previous years), & we had books for 56 children. We do sell calendars of the children, which is our biggest money raiser of the year, a calendar with a photo of your child dressed in one of our fancy outfits costs £4, just the photo is £2.
It's jolly cold tonight here, that's to be expected I suppose, as it's been such a lovely clear sunny day. I got changed into my fleecy jammies when we got home, & then fleece trousers & jacket over the top, & felt better. I'll feel happier when DS1 is safely home from work. I worry about him on the narrow country roads!0
