You are a rotten lot. Fancy posting all these pictures of adorable pets and making the rest of us think....well......perhaps!
No. Absolutely not. Stop looking Monna.
One of these days I will discover how to post pictures on here. I've been told so often how easy it is and given step by step directions but it's no use. Either my computer doesn't have the same gizmos on it or they are speaking in a foreign language. Anyway, what would I put on here? No appealing pets, that's for sure.
I didn't have my camera with me when I went to see my darling GD. Pity, she was wandering around with a red, plastic colander on her head, with the handle sticking out in front like a midget Dalek. Apparently she is surgically attached to the colander.
Anyway, what am I doing on here? I have oceans of work to do and you have no right to distract me.
Begone!!!!!

In a fit of madness with both children out and a very real reluctance to get up and cook a meal, we ordered a Chinese takeaway. SO not OS but so lovely!0

I got my 'try new recipe' mojo back after a success with Jamie's salmon filo pie and tried a far cheaper budget recipe, Jack Monroe's Creamy Salmon Pasta with Chilli Lemon Kick.
Do try this, -it's on Jack's blog - unless you really dislike any of the ingredients. I couldn't believe that fish paste and yogurt would make such a tasty sauce but they did.
I changed the quantities as DS has a biggish appetite, 300g pasta, two red onions, 300 ml yogurt and two jars of fish paste. Just one chilli as it was a big red one.
Pleased with the chilli, as it was a green one that I set to ripen on the kitchen windowsill and this worked really well.
I'm not a fan of green peppers or green chillis in general.
So far the only recipe of Jack's I wouldn't try again as printed is the Diet Coke Chicken, although DS didn't think much of the Chicken Satay. The mixed bean goulash was a hit as was the sausage and lentil one pot dinner. I already make a near identical recipe to her warm spicy daal as a very thick lentil soup, it's lovely.
Four hits, one so - so and only one miss is a pretty good average.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I've loved all the animal pics. Mrs C, Lucky will probably learn another name quite easily especially if it has the same number of syllables and the same vowel sound ending (e.g. Monty, Bobby, Corky... I'm sure there are some names that are less twee, but for the life of me I can't think of one .. Maccy? Mucky? Donny?).
It's also possible for a dog to learn a nickname quite easily. My lovely Holly answered to Mim as well as her original name.
There were pictures of a dog just like Lucky on an Irish animal rescue website a short while ago, (one in Co. Kerry) is it him I wonder?
Edit: Aww Burtha, RIP Betty. 8 years is really old for a chicken, I believe.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Our Collie, originally named Pharoh's Delight of something or other was renamed Laddie by the Rescue. He answers to "who's a handsome dog", "gorgeous", and "fluff butt"0

Morning everyone
What lovely cutie pics, love kitties and dogs but have no more room. DH took the wall down to make me a bigger kitchen and I filled it with more dogs
I can't even look at rescue pages, the only way we could have another pooch is if we made them bunk beds :rotfl:
love a good rescue story though
The wedding was beautiful. When I was sent to live with an Aunt the next door neighbours were lovely and I used to practically live round theirs as they were a nice couple. I'm the same age as their son and it was his wedding we went to yesterday.
The wedding was held in a hotel and I must say everything was perfect. The table layouts, non of this top table malarky, everyone sat with their own little group. Every little detail was thought of. The only bad thing was the coffee, it was terrible but I am a coffee addict @ldi french blend is my fav.
They both looked as if they were lucky to have each other IYKWIM and that's how it should be isn't it? The weddings we've been to and one or the other always makes out they didn't want to get married and he/she forced them :rotfl:
The price was on the back of the loo door (honestly it was a classy hotel lol) £4200 upwards!! A lovely day though and if your going to have debt round your neck at least they have a load of pictures to show what they spent it on.
It's nice to have a glass of wine or two but it's not nice that the pup (now size of a small pony) yawns as loud as she can at day break and then turns to a whine then to barking as loud as she can. You have about 8 minutes to get up before the street is woken :rotfl:
Free listing day today peeps

Ireland have so many dogs, puppies in particular, that have to come over the water to be rehomed. Alf included.
Monna so many animal pics! We are animal less now and all of us need a pet but cant under the tenancy... a rabbit isnt strictly a house pet is it???? except it would have to be a house rabbit because I dont think we could leave it outside permanently.
We visited a national trust estate yesterday - 17thC. I did like the posh house but was more in awe of the laundry room! The grounds were fab and good fun by all. Its a handfull of miles from where me live - should have cost £31 but our membership at £8 a month means its well worth it and somewhere free for me to take the kids in holidays
Off to the tank museum today. DH and girls already have a year ticket so there is just for me to pay forIts nice to have a little spare cash to get the girls (and us!) out to experience things but we are still very much frugal and look for deals. We are a long way off from taking trips to lego land or theme parks but to be honest we have so much fun in the outdoors I dont think we really need to pay a lot for entertainment.
We had slow cooker casserole and root mash last night and supposed to have a chicken dinner today with left overs for curry tomorrow (and sandwiches for lunches) but I have not took the chicken out of the freezer! Cross with myself alright. Think, as so much riding on the chicken, that I shall have to bite the bullet and buy anotherstill it means I dont need one in the shopping this week so no difference financially I guess.
The weekend was meant to be horrid but I type in full sun right now and yesterday it was mostly sunny - no rain as yet - so I think we could have gone to Bath after all.0
