I'm back on the salad rolls...bacon sarnie sounds great...have you seen this?
http://food52.com/blog/7066-too-many-cooks-the-best-sandwich-once-and-for-all
Need grapes, about all I am short of...
Hoping for decent weather over the weekend...I could change my mind come morning but the plan is a flask of hot water, teabags or coffee(some milk powder)and some sandwiches in a rucksack.
A charged up digital camera and off to Richmond in Yorkshire to bring back memories of years ago with Mum and Dad.
Perhaps a quick look at the castle but if the walk is not too long, rest by the river. May take a fleece blanket I can lay down better than sit.
No doubt the shops will have changed. I can get there in approx 90 mins. I think 8.40am is earlier enough to leave.
So I may be quiet tomorrow and Sunday..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

I;m sitting here crocheting a granny blanket Fuddle - in cream, grey and lilac Wilco yarn. One for me for winter, and then I will do one OH and might even do one for the cat - the yarn is so cheap!
I use that too.my slippers a short while back was in multicoloured. The acrylic I'm using at the minute is from the range, a but squeaky on the hook but must probably my tension as I'm not paying attention. I just faff with my projects and although I adore proper luxurious yarn I just can't go up to £5+ for a ball. Enjoy Mrs C.

Aha, thank you! It's so clear, I thought it was out if the ordinary.0 -
Another lurker here who only posts once in a blue moon. As a short introduction I am a mum to 3 and Grandmother to 4 with another 7 shared with OH. Next birthday will be my 70th so I am a lot older than you all which is probably why I seldom post. Can't keep up with you young people you see. I don't try to be OS particularly as I couldn't manage without the modern trappings such as WM/TD/DW etc. Most of the food we have is cooked from scratch simply because thats what I have always done. My tiny garden isn't big enough to grow much in the way of veg but I do have a couple of fruit bushes and some herbs. I mainly scrimp and save so we can enjoy holidays away. Only started to go abroad a couple of years ago so I have a lot of catching up to do. I can knit/ crochet (nothing delicate) and sew but my main hobby these days is scrapbooking as it a way of preserving our family history. I can't promise to post much but will enjoy reading this thread as I have all the previous ones.Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot. :think:0

Thanks TC:)
If it goes well, I may post a report on my blog with images/videos

Washing is done, dried and put away *go me* lol just OH's smelly fishing gear to do tomorrow when he arrives home..(I did suggest to DS3 he could help but he'd collapsed in a heap on his bed so didn't have the heart to get him up again, don't think he got much sleep while away)
Shegar I splattered my screen after reading your gooseberry comment :rotfl:
Just ordered some coffee refills for my e-cigs,I've really been impressed with them so far.Maybe coffee ones will give me an extra boost for the housework!!0 -

How are you finding the e-cigs? I need to stop smoking (again). I usually go cold turkey but I keep starting again
Was thinking of trying the e-cig but am unsure at this point.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

One for foodies...Tesco's are selling a new Flora...silly price £1.50 for 225g. What's different? It has added seeds and grains. I thought, buy plain and add your own mix if you want to...it has to be cheaper."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Cath I've tried chewing gums, pipe thingies and patches and none of them hit the spot for me..these however are brilliant, you get the nicotine hit and even a puff of 'smoke' just like a normal fag but no smell whatsoever and you can have a puff then stick it in your pocket as they don't get hot,so no messy ashtrays etc
I love them!
I got mine from vapourlites.com as they had an offer on for a sample and only pay 2.95 postage for a disposable one so I tried that first then ordered rechargeables and refills etc.Think they have put it up now to 3.99 but I have saved approx £75 on cigs this past week or so:o
I've paid out the start up costs chargers etc but have worked it out it'll cost me approx £6.99 a week now so a HUGE difference..I've developed a cleaning fetish now tho as everything stinks !!!0 -

Thanks for this I'll check out the website, I really need to stop. As you know it costs a fortune and all the other negatives about smoking.
I'd much rather spend £7.00 as opposed to about £40 and to be honest we have so many expenses on at the moment the extra money would be really handy.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
