Yes I'm sure it is but we prefer to be able to sit down occasionally.0 -

Ours have got plenty to entertain them and loads of places to sleep. We have been trained to respond to every miaow, squeak, chirrup and gesture however to provide food and treats on demand - even though these things are always readily available in food bowls or on saucers.
Nothing like personal service eh?0 -

My friend has 8 cats and 2 dogs(amongst other pets!!) and it is hilarious when the cats decide they want the chair that one of the dogs is on.They gang up on them and force them off.It has to be seen to be believed.
She wouldn't have gone out of her way to have that many cats but they are all rescues that came with a sad tale and she is a lovely lady who cares deeply.
So much so that she gives up her time at weekends to help at......a cat rescue!!0 -
I was very clear about my motives. I wish to take it to the vet and have it checked over and treated if necessary, examine it for a chip and try to find its owners. If no chip is present we would have it rehomed through the vet.
We've already asked all the neighbours and nobody round here owns the wee thing.
You'd rehome it? Why?
No microchip doesn't necessarily mean no home, and its perfectly legal for people to let their cats roam with no ID. It might not be a stray, but somebody's loved pet who likes to wander and scrounge, you said yourself it only looks 'a bit scruffy' not neglected or suffering.0 -

What you say is perfectly reasonable. There are a finite number of houses where we are though and a missing cat would quickly be noted - as is a new one. One of our concerns is that we and a neighbour are feeding it and it seems voracious. Cats can be like that we know but we're having to make a choice between possibly having it starve or not eating its own food at home and causing its owner concern.
It also appears to have a sore eye.0 -

Sorry, but I think you're being a bit over eager here.0
