Esure are charging me £600 pounds to change address!!!!!!!!!!

That would fine if fraud was involved.

Complaint would be about the conduct of insurance company towards it's customers.

Whilst it is clear the OP isnt happy, it isnt clear what the company have done wrong.

I complained to esure and they were in the wrong and gave me a refund. It pays to complain :T

If you feel aggrieved then you have the right to use the complaints procedure and rightly so.

Last time I moved I had 4 months left on my car insurance and very similar tactic used (not esure btw) a massive hike which meant either cancelling the policy and paying even more to get out of it or paying the massive hike (80% extra).

They told me it was a higher crime risk area - not according to the police or any of the websites that show this sort of data mind!
(Later proven when I renewed and the policy price dropped!)

I told them I was staying put, moved anyway and renewed with a different insurer when the policy expired.

Fair enough if I'd had to claim it may well have caused problems, I'm sure I would have been 'uninsured' due to failure to report my change of address no doubt but an 80% hike 'just because they can do it' is tantamount to extortion IMHO.

Clearly the OP's insurer has become benevolent and charitable when they have done nothing wrong.

Oh yeah, other than conclude someone is guilty of fraud without proof, only suspicion. I might look like a shoplifter but I've actually got a load of disposable income and looking for a quality product at the right price.

If you keep your front door open don't be surprised if people walk in and take a good look around.

If you suspect fraud let them in and when they want to take something ask for the proof of who they really are.
