    Only 10 weeks, someone's having a laugh!

In response to a FOI request recently the CAA acknowledged that the most recent cases they had resolved in some way had taken an average of 193 days...

Mine went in on 9 January ... Nothing yet (and they no longer take calls requesting follow-up)

CAA are useless in every regard when it comes down to it, they have no power and even if they say "We feel you should get compensation" the Airline will still tell you to do one, so that 10 weeks wait time will be for nothing. Airlines will fob people off to the CAA because they know the CAA is severely backed up, and it gives the Airlines breathing room between claims.

If your flight was inbound to the UK, then go directly to that NEB, especially if you flew in from Greece or Spain, they are in some cases forcing Airlines to pay compensation without passengers going through the courts, they have at least done with Monarch on more than a handful of occasions.

Don't suppose you've got a link or further details on anything about this Aedus? Or anything where Monarch have been 'fined' by an overseas NEB?
