Mortgage Letter received but solicitor cannot proceed without title deeds?

Hi All,
...
My entry date is approaching!!! only one week left. So what can I do? It seems like I can do nothing but to wait for the title deeds from the selling solicitor? And HOW LONG does it take to complete the purchase after my solicitor receives the title deed?
Thanks a lot!
D
I don't understand. If this is England/Wales, then fromwhat you say you have not yet Exchanged. Therefore your "entry date is not approaching!!! "
Until you Exchange you have no "entry date".
If Scotland it's a different ballgame ,but I still doubt there's a fixed entry date till legals are complete.)
How long to complete?
A week?
A month?
3 months?

I would help a lot if OP would tell us whether the property is in England/Wales or Scotland and who gave him the "entry date".RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -

Thanks for all the inputs.
The property is in Scotland. The entry date was negotiated with EA on the day I made my offer, then I think it was passed to the selling solicitor. Missives have been concluded on the next day they received my mortgage offer. I visited the house two days ago and the sellers also confirmed the entry date, which is approaching very soon.0
