Hi all
Im a forum newbie and really need some urgent advice.
I am currently with virgin media and have their fibre optic broadband but I now want to move over to BT Infinity due to it being cheaper and also an all round better package.
My main concerns are:
My master phone socket is right next to my front door and next to it there are no plug sockets will this be an issue? (I currently have a telephone extension cable that runs into my living room which also connects all my sky telephone leads to my sky boxes)
If the engineer has to move the master socket into lets say my living room (that is where my current virgin fibre optic BB is) will there be an additional cost?
Will they make everything tidy in regards to all telephone cables that lead to my sky boxes are not "dangling" (I realise this may not be BT's concern)
If the engineer has to move the socket how will he do this? (ive recently laid wooden flooring the last thing I want is for that to be lifted up)
I know my questions seem pretty vague and I am more than happy to open up on any questions
Thank you in advance for any help!

Moving your Master socket would be an extra cost. The BT ORengineer changes the master socket for one with a VDSL filter.
You also need two mains sockets near the master socket, one for the Modem ( the the BT engineer brings) and one for the separate home hub. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

I actually have exactly the same home layout as the OP. And it wasn't a problem. He just ran a thin data extension cable from the master socket in the hall to where I wanted the modem and hub. Which was to the PC upstairs.
A very neat and tidy job. Almost invisible, too.0
