Cancelled Sky still working?

My Sky subscription ended yesterday but I'm still receiving all the channels. How long does it take them to turn them off?

Don't want to get charged extra, but by the same token, don't want to call them to enquire if I'm getting a freebie!

So are you at the end of the 30 day notice period?

Interesting, cancelled movies myself yesterday, now you've kicked of my paranoia.

May be the paid for channels will dissapear during the day, you'll continue to get all the freesat from sky channels of course.

    Whats your online account saying?

This happened to me a few years ago, channels continued for over 2 years :D then one day they disappeared.

On the other hand, there are a handful of threads on the forum by people saying they cancelled but Sky didn't actually actioned it. Did you get any written confirmation of your cancellation? And as Penrhyn says, what does your online account say?

Yes, did get a letter confirming my cancellation.

I was billed £2.19 yesterday as expected for 1 days worth of viewing, which was supposed to be my last day. Having just logged in to my account, it now says next payment "20th July", but when I click further, it does show the following:

This is your final bill for Sky TV because you have removed it from your subscription

    Product changes
20 Jun: removed Entertainment Extra with Sports and Movies
    20 Jun: removed Sky 3D
    20 Jun: removed Sky+ Subscription
    20 Jun: removed Sky+HD Pack

    Account balance £0.00

Should I cancel the direct debit?!

    What should I do????

Definitely cancel the Direct Debit (you should do this even if the channels do disappear)

Ok I'll cancel the d/d, but should I call them or not? If I'm getting it for free, I don't want to lose that!

If they've confirmed the cancellation keep the letter safe and remove the DDM from the active list.
