  • Thanks guys!

Thriftlady - I have actually made your choc fudge pudding on many occasions - absolutely gorgeous!

Just cos it's a smallish lunch, I thought something like little choc pots/ mousses, something smaller, maybe cold, to go with coffee would be better?

Penelope Penguin - just checked out the cooking by numbers website - it's really great (and very funny - one recipe told me to make a coffee and then go shopping as my cupboards must be empty!)

Unfortunately it has real choc instead of cocoa, but I'll keep checking through the other sites!

    Thanks! x

Did anyone get the recipe for the marshmallow-based chocolate mousse from this week's episode? For some reason it's not on the bbc/food website and I'm dying to make some...

    TIA

The times are publishing a lot of the recipes in handy little booklets that they give away with the paper too.

    150 gs mini marshmallows
    50gs unsalted butter
250 gs dark chocolate buttons or chips
4 tablespoons of very hot water

stir and melt the indredients together.

Whip 284 mm tub of cream with a teaspoon of vanilla until it is in thick peaks. Fold the choc mixture into the cream. Put in dishes and refrigerate. You can garnish with grated white chocolate.

I want to make chocolate mousse on christmas only problem is I hvnt got a tried and tested recipe. I tried one from a book, followed it word by word except using the vegge gel instead of gelatine ( wanted to make it suitable for vegetarians) but it turned out horrible . Didnt taste it caz it looked disgusting.
Has anyone got a tried and tested recipe of vegetarian chocolate recipe to share please?
  • This one by Delia is really easy and doesn't need gelatine.
