The white chocolate petal cake looks really nice, I saw one from Waitrose but just found out it's a fruit cake only and I prefer the sound of the M&S one by far, plus its cheaper!
  • Hiya,

Now we have established that the roses cake can have the ribbon changed OH has agreed that we can have it, yippee

    But can anybody who has had it tell me;
    a) What flavour did you have and was it scrummy?
    b) Did you have to have a fruit cake for the bottom to hold it all up?
    c) can you have milk chocolate cake with the ivory icing?
    Many thanks

    Hi there,

We had the milk choc rose cake in November.

    A) It was very scrummy although quite rich.
    B) You don't have to have fruit cake to hold it up (I don't know if this is even an option as I thought all 3 tiers in the rose cake had to be the same) we had 3 tiers of the chocolate sponge.
    C) I'm not sure about this one but I'm sure you could ask in-store or give them a ring :)

  • Hello
I too have been perusing the chocloate roses cake and apparently all tiers are sponge either choc or maderia. the white choc one is full of white choc ganache and the brown one has brown choc ganache. Its not super clear when you check it out on line but i had an email from m and s this week and thats what they said. Although their email was a little confusing.. bit like this post ooopppss sorry. (i tried to get them to send me a sample but they werent having any of it)
anyway if you hear back about the inside of the cake and the icing keep me posted...
At the mo this is my cake of choice..

    Thanks

    Thanks

I had exactly the same M & S wedding cake and this is how I decorated it. Ribbon is organza that I got on the internet and flowers were £1 each from internationale.

Forgive my ignorance, what's internationale? Sounds good!
