I sold an item on a 7 day auction ending on Sunday. Just now get this message:
I am very sorry but my two year old daughter placed the winning bid for your jacket! I was looking at the item and she pressed the buy button while I was out of the room. I'm sorry for any time wasting caused but I only saw the pay now message today
What do I do?!

Full NPB, it's a rubbish excuse as if someone allows a child thatnyoung free access to the interned they deserve to lose their eBay account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. "Dear buyer,
I am very sorry but just after reading your correspondance I went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and whilst I was away from my computer, my 18 month old son started playing with it and inadvertently managed to open a non paying bidder dispute.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you."0 -

If only OP could actually send this. But unfortunately the best idea is to block them, ignore them and open a NPB case as soon as possible. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Thats the sort of response i used to send before Ebay let buyers have sellers over a barrel. Some even replied saying fair play for the witty response.
Now you could lose your account for daring to answer a buyer back0 -

Stop blaming the kids.....tell them the cat did it...:D0 -
Tell them it's ok but that your two year old accidentally started a non paying bidder case against them.0
