Morning - hope you managed to get some sleep.
As said before, once the SOA is put together and posted, you will get lots of advice from those that have been there, done that (couldn't afford the t-shirt unfortunately, but that will change).
You will very soon feel back in control of the situation and that is a very powerful feeling.
Once you know exactly what you are dealing with, it is so much easier to tackle, so we look forward to that SOA later on. In the meantime, you know that you have taken the biggest step forwards.
If you are a fan of the diaries on here, start your own!! It could motivate you and as you already know, can be a great motivator for others who are lurking.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Hello mate, welcome to DFW, it's a wonderful place. The advice on here, not only monetary/debt related, Ive found is second to none. As Southernscouser said 'He doesn't even take a !!!!!! unless he has consulted MSE first. Beware, this site is addictive and you will spend coutless hours on here, receiving advice, giving advice, parties etc etc. Anyway, I suspect you totalled up your debt and felt sick. Like most of us on here, you have a rough idea how much you owe but invariably it ends up being more. I was about 17K out on mu estimations. Get your SOA up everyone will look at it (not me I'm rubbish at SOAs) and standby for some great advice. LennyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi guys... and thanks to you all...
I didn't really sleep at all last night... I honestly can't remember the last time I slept for more than 4 hours... Had to force myself not to come back on here... you are all right... It's very addictive, isn't it? I'm gonna try and re-type my SOA and a bit more on my story (for the nosey ones :-) ) this morning as my boss is out...
There are some very imminent payments needed, so just as a pre-curser, if any of you could have a think about how I could get together about £1,000 in, like, 3 days, I'd be much obliged!
The last part was my uber-lame effort at 'gallows humour'... ;-) If Y'all could do that, none of us would be here for very long, would we!!

Thanks all...
I've been wracking my brain for something funny to say at your expense but damn it, debt worries just aren't funny, are they !!:rotfl:
I've recently posted my own "OMG help me" thread and can assure you that everyone that reads your post will do their best to help
Some of us are so new we can only wish you luck and take your arm along the way in case you stumble.
There WILL be a solution to this and in my experience the worry far out weighs the actual problem!!
take care x

I would 2nd that statement. I think humans are super inefficient. Those of us who are prone to worry a lot tend to make mountains out of mole hills and get ourselves into a right old tizzy! Truly the best course of action, although hard, is to tackle the problem head on. I have had to learn this as a way to approach life and it makes a huge difference. I am the original worry-guts and even joke to my OH that I am going to change my surname to Fretwell!"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0 -
HI and Welcome.
Your right it is really scary to see that figure in black and white. As for raise £1000 in 3 days, I'm not sure I'm all that able to help, but have you started Ebaying/Amazoning things? I've made about £50 in the last 2 days? Ok it's not a grand but it's something!
Post your SOA on here and we'll all pop in and have a look... we really are nosy you know!
But your in the right place, prepare to become addicted and wonder what you did before you found this place. It's the start of a long and exciting journey to becoming debt free. Remember that while it seems scary now, give it a few years and you'll wonder what you worried about, you'll be debt free and able to do all the things you wanted to do. But this time you'll pay for them upfront and not after!!!
Keep smiling. I'm going to subscribe to you thread to keep and eye on how you get on. We do root for the people on here!

Thank you all again... you wonderful, wonderful people!!!
If nothing else happens, this forum, and you people, have restored my faith in humanity... So thank you for that!
OK... well... I'll cut the chit-chat for now and just get on with it...
This is as best I can remember without having my info to hand... Any corrections will be made tonight/tomorrow, but I’m sure it's 99.9% right, as per last night... I spent long enough staring at it in disbelief for it to burn a permanent scar on my brain...

Hi PH and welcome. just had a brief look at your SOA. Is there anyway you can reduce your mobile bill and your work lunches - could you take sarnies? I'm sure others will be along soon to help further.0

As Southernscouser said 'He doesn't even take a !!!!!! unless he has consulted MSE first. Beware, this site is addictive and you will spend coutless hours on here, receiving advice, giving advice, parties etc etc. Lenny
WAYYYYY WAYYYYY too much information! :rotfl:
although this site so big and so good I bet somewhere there is a thread about it...lol minimum number of sheets of paper required, perhaps??
Lenny is right though! take advantage of all the time saving ideas too, you'll need them to make up for the lack of time you have from pottering about on this site!
I would recommend the "old-style" boards too. Loads of tips on where to buy things cheaply, save a few pennies etc etc a few pence saved here and there and you've got a couple of extra bob in your pocket!
Good luck sweetie x:rotfl:If you have made someone laugh today... check your skirt isn't tucked into your knickers!!!:rotfl:SarahShattered wrote: »Mrs B you're a legend.0
