Hi, I booked a holiday to Rhodes for my family in an all inclusive hotel with First Choice.
We chose a night flight going and an early morning on way home as it worked out to be cheaper.
We fly out on 29th June and arrive in Rhodes at approx 5/6am on the 30th June. I have found out today that we are to vacate the room on the 6th of July before 12pm. This means that we are without room or shower etc until the transfer bus comes at 04.00 on the 7th.
None of this was stated anywhere it was only because my father said to make sure because it has happened to him. We have the documents for flights stating the flight times and when I have logged on to my booking on First Choice website it says check in 30th June and check out 7th July but to make sure we phoned First Choice and were told that we actually do have to vacate the room and they can't sort a late room or anything else for us and we are to wait until we get there and hope they have a room we can use.
My question is do I have a leg to stand on regarding the only document that states the times we are able to have the room is the website page.
Any ideas please?

I'm afraid that's pretty standard practice and a draw back for night time flights in that you vacant your room early and can be hanging around before your transfer back to the airport.
I feel sure First Choice will have mentioned this in their brochure. This type of stuff is often in the 'Important Information' type section at the rear of the brochure.
The day before you are due to check out it might be worth asking reception if you can extend your room check out time ( expect to pay). This might take you to late afternoon/ early evening.0 -
It's not First Choice, it is standard hotel policy, most hotels will either have facilities guests can use after checkout in these situations or you can, at a cost ask for late checkout room.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

If you have paid for 7 nights accommodation, then that is what you should get. However the first night will be 29 June, even though you don't arrive until the early hours of 30 June, as the room will have been available from around 3pm on 29th.0

See your rep at your welcome meeting. They'll be able to tell you the likelihood of keeping your room on. It's more likely that you'll be able to "borrow" an empty room for an hour or two to have a shower etc. before you are collected.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Do many people actually attend these [strike]sales pitches[/strike] meetings?0 -

If they want to find out about the hotel, the area, oh... keeping their room on before a late flight...
You don't HAVE to buy trips, you know.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Oh well,
Cant say I've ever felt disadvantaged by missing them
TBH, I'd rather try to do a deal with the hotel itself rather than a tour company rep.
I've had quite a few extra nights over the years for a small cash consideration0 -
The OP sounded a bit inexperienced so I thought a word with the rep might help. A few extra nights won't be much use on a package holiday with a flight arranged.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

By a few, I meant the odd one here and there to cover such eventualities as delayed or late flights.0

I have never had a problem before when booking through First Choice. The hotels have either had a room that they allow guests to book a time to shower or there has been ample facilities in the hotels leisure centre to use. Luggage is normally stored in a room/cupboard behind/near reception so you don’t need to carry your luggage around with you all day0
