I once won a baked bean with my name on it (a pretend one of course) and it arrived in a little wooden box. I remember looking at it and thinking - mmmm now what do I do with it? It was not as if I could display it on my fireplace for all to see, so I put it in my knickers drawer! It was one of those comps when the prize sounded better than it actual was!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

I have just spent a wasted hour going through the Rafflecopter competitions looking for something worth entering for :(

Now don't get me wrong I don't have huge expectations, I was over the moon with a pair of shoes, a jumper a smelly set ect

But in my humble opinion these Mammy Blogger competition prizes...a sample tube of Sudocrem, one tiny doll, one plastic bowl, nail clippers, two pair of baby socks, a bottle of multi vitamins, the list goes on and on, and to win these you have to Tweet/Blog/FaceBook is it really worth it?

It is like someone earlier on this thread said, as if they had a dig around in the back of their kitchen cupboards and said that will do for a competition for my blog

I presume (please correct me if I am wrong) that companies send these items to the Mammy Bloggers to try and they do and write about them for the company in return for keeping the items they blog about??

Well they really can't be that good if after they blog about them they offer their naff goods as competition prizes!!

I am sure the next person to amble on to this thread will want to win sudocrem samples and a pair of baby socks ... each to their own ;)

A few big companies wanting us to tweet to win a bar of chocolate or a tube of toothpaste! I don't bother with tweeting to win items like those!

don't knock the tiny prizes - I've not had to buy any make-up or shampoo for years and the way my grandson goes through socks!!!

I won a London 2012 iPad case, it was in 2013. However I was happy until they tried to charge for postage! Unwanted stock and making people pay to 'win' it, genius idea...
Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card
Rehome an unwanted prize or gift with a seriously ill child through Postpals.co.uk

Well I was sent a confirmation e-mail (for apparently) entering for some baby feeding items

17 years ago that would have come in very useful with triplets :D

It sent a link for me to spread the word, so I checked it. It was the Shredder that I'd entered for. :rotfl:

I really thought for a moment I had gone onto auto-pilot...:D

I won a ten pound gift card for a baby website and then they sent me an email saying it wasn't valid on anything under £100. But it's the rafflecopters that bother me, the ones where they give away beauty products that have been used....yuck!

UGH! I didn't realise these products on the beauty blogs (I'm assuming) have been used!
