Orange Online Order Rant - Absolutely Fuming! Can anyone help?
Heya all, wondering if anyone can advise.
Well here's the story:
On Saturday 15th, I went on the Orange website and asked a web chat assistant if they have any Razr i's for sale. They said yes, under the Speaker Deal. £149.99 + £20 topup Plus free speaker.
I said Brilliant, Is it in stock? They said yes.
I then continued to order, spoke to another web chat assistant and asked if it was definitely in stock. They said Yes.
Just before confirming my details of the order, I phoned them up and asked about cashback to make sure I'd get it as some people had issues. She told me I would get it and that there was stock.
I picked for it to be delivered on Tuesday (yesterday). It gave me an order number on the confirmation page and told me they will call me within 72 hours to confirm my order.
Since then I received no email and no phone call. My phone did not arrive.
I then spoke to someone again on web chat last night. They said it was limited stock and that I need to call someone about my order today.
I then phoned them today on the number they gave me and she checked my order. She told me that there was an issue with online orders over the weekend and the phone is now Not in stock and she can keep my details until they get some more in. I said ok, but was still not happy.
I then spoke to another web chat assistant, Sasha. She told me that I need to speak to a customer service assistant on the phone as they will be able to give more accurate stock details.
She gave me the number.
I called them up. The guy asked for my order number but couldn't find anything on it and that the last order was in February for that phone!?
I told him what had happened and how I was told it was in stock at the time. He then went and spoke to someone about it. When he came back he said that he's been told the phone is end of line and not coming back into stock.
I told him how can this be right, I phoned and spoke to people at the time of order and was told it was in stock multiple times.
I told him that you can still go online and physically Buy the phone as there is nowhere stating it's out of stock, it less you put your payment details in and everything.
He said that you can but nothing will happen as it's out of stock.
He then said there was a problem with the speakers going out of stock so they couldn't send the handsets, now the handsets have gone out of stock!?
He said all we can do is apologize and I should try going to an EE store to see if they have any in or get a different phone on the deal. I could also go to another retailer like tesco...
I told him I don't really care about the speaker, it's that handset I want and the reason I came through orange is because the price is half that of everywhere else.
He said sorry but its end of line and theres nothing they can do.
 ................
Sorry for the long rant but I am very cross with how much I've been messed around.
So, What am I to do now, I've been so messed around, and I'm so angry and upset. This was supposed to be a present aswell. I am sure there is some way to take this further but I'm not sure how to.
Can anyone please advise me?
Thanks

refund or waitDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Apparently even though I entered my payment details they haven't taken any money, and even though the women said she'll call if any more stock comes in, the guy said that they were getting no more in as its end of line.0

If its an end of line then that's why the price was so low.
As they've said, that's it, they'll be no more. Not much you can do by the look of it, Just move on...0 -
Calm down.
It was a great deal.
The online chat suck.
There will be no more phones at that price - either accept it and move on, or rant and rave and get grumpy, still have no phone, have an apology from Orange, and move on having wasted a mountain of emotional energy on it.
You haven't lost anything - you were misinformed. Find another handset - admittedly it won't be at that price for that spec, but nothing else you can do.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Much happier now
Gone back to T-mobile (Who I tried to buy it from in the first place - same deal)
The website still said Out of Stock but I phoned them up to ask and the guy said they actually have one left from the recent stock that had come in and he's put it through on next day delivery so should get it tomorrow.
Fingers crossed if all is well when it arrives I will make sure to contact Orange to make sure my payment details are clear from the order JUST INCASE they get stock and charge me lol.0
