Who honours the 5yr warranty?

All sorted.

Rang Selfridges after Samsung had rang them, it turns out that first year is Samsungs responsibility, then Selfridges.

Clarified that they will send courier, then take it back to London to repair etc then return it. Still, better being without for a while than either spending a fortune in repairs or binning it.

I did mention it would have saved me loads of time and effort if their staff were more aware of guarantee info, and got an e-voucher for my trouble which in theory would have paid for the delivery, however, wouldn't issue voucher until I'd ordered and paid for tv and delivery.

So now I've got a voucher for 19.95 but will have to spend it on-line which means then paying for delivery cost of 4.95!!!!

If it was this much fun to find out who the warranty is with, I can only imagine the turmoil if it breaks in 4 years time...

I didn't have an £800 voucher for John Lewis.

It's the principle of knowing about the 5yr warranty.

Quite enjoyed sorting it all out.
