Thanks Digerati, we have used european bank transfers, the first few we did were in GPB and cost us nothing.
The last one we did was again in GBP and £5 went missing. Both banks claimed they don't charge so we hit a brick wall basically./QUOTE]

That's your problem - if it had been in euros there would have been no mystery fee.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

I wasn't complaining I was just commenting, like I said we have had european bank transfers in the past in GBP's that were free and then (to us) all of a sudden we were charged a fee that no bank accepted responsibility for.

Prior to receiving this last transfer the bank told us that to accept a bank transfer in £'s is free.
Thanks anyway for your comments and help.

My problem is the buyer is registered in the Russian Federation, the payment has come from a company in USA and they have requested the display be sent to Finland.
    Just seems odd to me.

It isn't all that odd - it'll be a trans-shipper that accepts packages then clears them through Russian customs and delivers to recipient. There are similar long running commercial handlers for Japanese buyers in the USA, and Canadian buyers in the USA. They handle all the customs clearance paperwork cheaper than FedEx or UPS, etc. and are usually bonded.

I've shipped to most of the ex-USSR without problem myself but other sellers have reported a high percentage of "missing" or "empty" shipments to some parts of Russia.
