    well.ive used the caustic soda treatment twice,the first time had no effect,and i'll see how it goes.if that doesn't work,i'll get the MELT

    Try the plunger I recommended first. It's only £3.65. Fill the sink with hot water, pull the plunger handle up to fill it then use the seal to put it round the plughole then plunge down with all your strength. If it works for you like it does for me you'll feel the resistance go suddenly as the blockage clears.
