hi everyone, hope someone can help.i have a white sink with 1 big and i small basin.for a while now,it doesnt drain.i am constantly having to plunge and even then,i have to block the small basin to get the water to drain from the big basin.
i have tried unblocking from natural, bleach, specialist liquids, the snake drain pipes, but to no avail.
i have opened all the waste pipes, even after cleaning everything,it is still the same.
underneath the sink to the left is a small pipe which you can move about, which used to work if it was in a certain position.
at my wits end,any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

What about caustic soda its good to clearing drains. Wilkos sell it just pout it down drain in cold water leave for 30 mins or so and pour boiling water down.
Also check the u bend under sink0 -
Just had a similar problem myself in the flat I moved into last year. First of all friends came to put down chemicals then rodded it for me, but problem returned. When new kitchen was being fitted the plumber had a go at clearing drain & things were ok for a while before the problem once more returned with the water then refusing to drain away at all.
Nothing I tried worked, so I bit the bullet & called out dyno-rod who used a machine to clear it. Their pricing is much clearer & more reasonable than it used to be and hopefully that's the problem now sorted for once & for all.
You don't realise how much you rely on the kitchen sink until you can't use it.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I've always found this product to be very good at unblocking reluctant drains.

You can get a lot of energy behind it and the low price makes it a good purchase for a try-out. We've kept the same one for about 10 years now and been glad of it so many times. The one we have will also do lavatory pans but thankfully we've not had to use it for that.0 -
Look for something called MELT either in a plumbers store or eBay. Worked a treat on my sinkholes and plugholes.
edit: Don't ever waste time buying anything from a supermarket shelf. All rubbish.0 -
