But your complaint should always have been with the retailer, you have no contract with the manufacturer, so well done Play for (eventually) complying with their legal obligations.
Duracell were complying with the law by referring you back to the retailer (who shouldn't have allowed the matter to go so far), so IMO boos to Play for not being more proactive and resolving the problem on first contact.
The OP was claiming under the manufacturers warranty, so they need to talk to the manufacturer - the retailer are responsible for the SOGA claims, but thats a different kettle of fish.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
