Thanks for that it is exactly the pack I bought, "Limited" warranty, but "Limited" to what.?0 -

I believe the terms should be on the reverse of the packaging.
It wouldn't surprise me if they were just the normal limitations
e.g. not liable in respect of any defect arising from damage, negligence or abnormal working conditions

Thanks, so the battery was used normally so the warranty should apply.0

Thanks. I didn't look up the product code so didn't realise it was rechargeable. That said, I wouldn't necessarily expect 3 years life from a rechargeable - it depends on how many charging cycles it goes through.0

I think you should pursue this case. Or join Which and get their lawyers on it. They are very into rechargeable batteries and how they perform. I think they would be very interested in a 3 year Duracell warranty which is is not worth the cardboard its printed on.0

I should, but its already well past its "£10" worth of hassle. If you get my drift.0

Issue a claim against them for £30.....they'll settle up the full £60 pretty sharp.0

Update....Play agreed to refund, & without needing the old battery back, so well done them.

Boos to Duracell
But your complaint should always have been with the retailer, you have no contract with the manufacturer, so well done Play for (eventually) complying with their legal obligations.
Duracell were complying with the law by referring you back to the retailer (who shouldn't have allowed the matter to go so far), so IMO boos to Play for not being more proactive and resolving the problem on first contact.====0
