Washing machine insurance

Hi,

I have just bought a second hand washing machine and the drum is banging like mad on spin cycle....so what I am wondering is should I get some insurance with D&G for it and get it sorted on that? Or should I just pay to get it fixed?
The machine is around 6 years old I think

thanks

how much did you buy it for?
D&G will charge around £14.99 pm for cover where there is a fault on the washing machine.
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?

Try on one of the other sections of the forum, it may be as simple as the brushes which you can buy on line for about £20 and are easy enough for most people to install themselves with tutorials for most machines on youtube.

new drum and another part was required.

They have this on their website
Note that this warranty product is only available for equipment in good working order

If I were a betting man I would probably put money on the fact the OP's policy did have a similar clause but they have simply committed fraud by buying it and claiming the problem started post inception of the policy.

Thus the fault had to be paid for! It cost you £140 for the repair.

indeed i did. a new drum was being priced at just over £85, so taking labour into account, and a callout fee im happy.

I live rural, and some trademans charge 1hr or 2 for travel.

Also, its then covered for the next 12mths.

i only take these out when something goes wrong.

the last time i took a policy out on the WM was 5 years ago.

once this year is done il cancel.

Called a local repair company and they are fixing it for me for £80 all in.....happy with that and don't think I'll bother with insurance now - thanks for the replies!
