Advice for a couple of days somewhere flying with Easyjet

Hi,

A bit of an odd request, but I have free flights for 3 people with Easyjet from Bristol (as compensation). Just have to pay for the flight in one direction.

I'm looking for a cheap trip for 2 days with an ovenight stay. Accomodation for 3.

Can anyone recommend a location with good public transport from airport to the town centre and cheap hotels in the town centre to stay in? (Not looking to hire a car). I'll be travelling in term time, possibly September.

Thinking of Barcelona, but wondered if anyone else had any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Inverness, not a long Easyjet flight from Bristol and usually spectacular views of the
rain clouds (and that's after you've landed in Inverness).

Inverness does have a Wetherspoons and a (newish) Poundland unlike Paris, so a top location.

Cheap hotels, I think there's a Travelodge or even two, less beggars than Barcelona (just), because of Hyperthermia.

Don't forget your phrasebook and mozzie net.

    There's lots to do;

    Why go anywhere else?

Had a quick look at where Easyjet flights go from Bristol.

I'd choose Amsterdam, Lisbon or Salzburg (assuming they're not just ski flights). I've had really good short breaks in all three places. In all three I got a taxi from the airport then after that it's really easy to get around. Amsterdam and Salzburg are fairly small and walkable. Lisbon I got a travel pass for buses, trams and funiculars.

Sorry, can't recommend specific hotels. We got good deals at the time looking on Expedia and similar sites.

Just be aware that these vouchers are 'subject to availability' and availability normally means "when flight prices are low and we know we will not fill the plane". It may be very difficult, if not impossible, to get them to offer you Friday afternoon or Sunday evening flights to anywhere so plan a number of options before trying to book

But then you have the excess baggage for raincoats and umbrellas, the language difficulty and, from September 2014, the need for a passport.

Alicante is good and a great tram runs to Denia. Three years ago there was a very good bus from the airport that has luggage racks. I dont know hotel costs. Well worth a look but depends what you are after

But since they wouldn't qualify automatically for EU membership it might mean duty free. :j

    Malaga

There's a train that leaves the airport every 20 minutes, with stops all down the Costa del Sol

You don't have to use easyjet for both flights, use your easyjet compo one way and try Ryanair or another airline for the other, it may work out cheaper.
