cancelling 3 contract

Im about to cancel my 3 contract I have for a mobile dongle. Trouble is im only 16 months into my 18 month contract. I phoned to try and cancel but they never gave me a price to cancel it there and then, all they just said was there would be a termination fee(ok fair enough). I don't really need it anymore and its just a waste of 15 odd quid a month, theres only a phone number on the 3 website, is there no way of writing to them?

Presumably they would just want the contract paying up to date. another 2/3 months depending on whether you have paid this months.

So the waste of 15 odd a month doesn't come into it. You still have to pay it to the end of the 18 month period because that is what you signed for.

you wont have to pay it all, as you will get VAT off it, so that'll save you 20%.

also note that after your 18month term you will still be charged monthly until you officially cancel it.

usually you cancel it in writing, if you do it early, they will issue you with a final bill which will include the termination fee, which i guess would be around £20-25.
