So you cannot have 3 x 15 minute breaks anymore?

The above link says you can have 30 minute breaks. Is that out of date?

Blimey i think i need to checkup on this before i renew my HGV. Or do i let it expire?

right ,you need a break before or on 4.5 hours driving off 45minutes or in two parts 15 mintes and 30 minutes
you also need a break off 30 minutes before 6 hours working ,
it can be taken in two parts one 15 mintues and the second part 30 minutes must not be less ,
so you do 4.5 hours driving within 6 hours you still need a driving break off 45 minutes ,the working time break can be part off your driving break,so your working time break is not need until you have done anther 6 hours work,POA can extend this by how must POA you have
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

"The Working Time Regulations (WTR) don't specifically say anything about lunch breaks, but do allow for one uninterrupted 20-minute rest break during the working day, provided the working period is longer than 6 hours."

If this is for a normal worker such as office staff retail etc. It shows your 15 mins is against the working time regulations

Your post shows WTD for general workers. The WTD for mobile workers is different.

So you are wrong then as you can see from your own link and i quote

    Breaks

7.—(1) No mobile worker shall work for more than six hours without a break.

    (2) Where a mobile worker’s working time exceeds six hours but does not exceed nine hours, the worker shall be entitled to a break lasting at least 30 minutes and interrupting that time.

    I'm right.

    Breaks

7.—(1) No mobile worker shall work for more than six hours without a break.

    (4) Each break may be made up of separate periods of not less than 15 minutes each.

I'm not sure why you quoted number 2 anyway as we are discussing work up to 6 hours.

The WTD break you refer to has been updated within the last 2 years.

This is nothing to do with driving regs by the way, which you are absolutely correct on.

You no longer need to have a 30 minute break before 6 hours has expired, if you take a 15 minute break (must be completed before 6 hours is reached) then you can work up to 9 hours before you must take that half hour.

    Attn Forgotmyname.

Its not just a case of not letting your licence expire, remember you will also have had to complete 35 hours of periodic training by Sept 2014, *double check that date in case* for the DCPC (Drivers CPC) if you wish to drive HGV's after that date.
This 35 hours covers you for 5 years only, rinse and repeat.

Its all cobblers, you won't learn a thing thats useful, but its a nice little earner for those involved.and an extra tax for the govt thats bankrupt...thankyou all of those who voted EU.

Was the transport manager correct (saying to write on the rear of the tacho)
    To
A debate on what order the 15s, 30s & 45s can be taken in??

Oh & as for pull my card - aren't you not supposed to pull your card when it's recording a break?
