    I've got several AEG 18v tools, and have to say that you won't be disappointed with the combi driver you mentioned. They're actually made by Makita anyway, it's just a brand name more well known in Australia (as I understand it).

    My combi takes an absolute hammering out on site and has never let me down, plus the battery life is pretty keen too. It's slightly heavier and larger than some others (though not massively) but that's an advantage if you want hammer action on a chunky concrete wall. Besides, saves on gym membership!

    Read the spec's it says metal gears. others with metal gearboxes state either metal gearbox or all metal gearing. Failing that ring Makita;)

    Plus I've got both types.

    they are owned by the TTi group who own Milwaukee and Ryobi.

    If you look the Milwaukee and AEG chargers etc are VERY similar :)
