Which Combi Drill?

Howdy all,
I'm searching for a new combi drill.
I fancy something special and SWMBO has allowed me around £200.
I've narrowed it down to two drills:
Milwaukee C18 PD
AEG BSB 18 C
Both drills have a 3 year guarantee.
Although the pic for the AEG
Any thoughts or advice?
thank you

There are other posts on this forum about combi drills. You have to give us a better idea of what you will be using the drill for?0

Seems fairly obvious what the OP will be doing from the drills on his (very) short list.
Milwaukee make good drills. Not sure from your link how many batteries are included , what AH you would be getting and recharge time. Which PD model is it that you have selected ?
The AEG has 2 x 3.0 AH batteries with a 30 min charger.
Assuming like for like I would go for the Milwaukee.Forgotten but not gone.0 -
are you not better off buying SDS drill for that money?0

Thanks for the replies guys.
I have a plug in SDS drill.
Whichever dril I buy will have batteries of between 1.5 and 2.0 ah and I'm only looking for drills with two batteries.
I tried the milwaukee with 3.0 ah batteries and I found it quite heavy, plus the charge time is longer on those (60 mins) vs 30 mins ofr the 1.5 or 2.0 ah batt.
So in short im looking for 2 batts of between 1.5 and 2.0 ah.
thanks again for any replies.0 -
If you already have a SDS drill why bother with a combi drill? just get a standard cordless drill.

Hi, thanks.
I've found my current combi quite useful... like the idea of having the hammer function there incase I need it.

A friend of mine (yes I have a friend) has recently bough a Makita combi from Wickes for £139. It has only one battery but it is a 3Ah lithium ion. The drill has some weight to it, not too heavy, and as the battery weighs nothing I would assume that the gubbings is all metal gearbox etc. It's an 18v. 22mins to recharge. 13mm keyless chuck

The 453 has metal gears but not a metal gearbox, however saying that its still a good drill. The bat life is excellent and the drill is comfy to hold, mine gets quite a lot of use and its the chuck that let me down not the drill itself.Thoughts:
