Strongly suggest this information is ignored due to potential fraud issues you could leave yourself open to. Deliberately providing false info on a credit file is not a good idea at all.0 -

It's a well known fact CRA's share your info with anyone willing to pay for it.
I wouldn't worry though because your current address will be on the electoral role anyway and they can get it from there.
I have no issue in doing this but use a mobile number that's fake, be very careful providing a false address, not a good idea at all!
Equifax will sell any information on you to ANYONE who will pay! DO NOT give them correct information if you can easily avoid doing such as your correct contact numbers. The other agencies are probably the same!I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

What is rarely appreciated, is that anyone signing up for their file as part of a scheme - or indeed simply applying as a one-off, all your supplied information is used to populate or update information that they may not otherwise have had.
Strange that people are willing to pay a CRA when the CRA are happy to pay other sources to add to their elephantine database.0 -
Credit data isn't available to anyone. It can't be used for target marketing for instance.
The use of credit data is strictly restricted to specific purposes, which are spelled out in the data protection notice when you take out a credit agreement. One of these permitted purposes is usually to help collect debt, enabling lenders and collectors to consult CRA data to find lost customers.
Ordering your credit report from a new address could create a link on that CRA's database, which could then alert any lenders looking for you.
As others have said, it's not wise to apply for your credit report from a false address. There's a good chance you'd end up with a fraud marker on your report if you do this.

...and where in the quote does it say anything about you giving a false address.
It doesn't, so unless illiterate people are reading this then they will know you didn't write that! I would of liked to hope they are reading the thread in FULL.
For the record, Gordon Hose did not suggest giving false addresses to the Credit Reference Agencies.I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
