Hi all i need some advice again.
Im currently fighting a PCN at a hospital now iv only gone and got booked at a retail park. I didnt realise there was a time limit and was 17 mins over.
BPA have sent me a letter already after getting caught last week which included photos of my car as they already have my deatils form the other ticket.
I cant believe im in this situation again. I suppose it is my falt this time as i was over the time limit at the car park.
Whats my next step?
This is a small retail park in south Wales.
all advice greatly welcomed. its £60 now or £100 after 14 days, this is absolutly scandlous.

The bpa didn't send you anything, just parking eye I gather?
Anyway you need to challenge this, if rejected go to popla the independent appeals. We can help you formulate a very strong defence on this at popla. So just pop this to them to ensure you get your popla code. And read some threads here about it.
In regards to your hospital ticket, have you challenged that ?
Name
Address
Date
Dear Scammers,
In regards to the invoice received with ref number xxxxxx dated xxxxxx, the keeper denies all liability to your company, if you reject this challenge the keeper requires within 35 days a popla verification code for them to appeal independently, per Version 2 of the BPA Code of Practice.
The keeper has nothing further to add, and will not respond to any correspondence from your company unless it contains the popla code. If you wish to find out why the keeper rejects all liability, pay the £27 plus vat to popla to find out
The challenge will be deemed accepted if there is no popla code on any rejection that you supply within the timeframe stipulated above.
Yours Faithfully

Thanks Stroma, so send a letter to parking eye with the above letter and see where it goes??
It was from Parking eye with the usual BPA parking logos at the top.
Do you think i will have to end up paying?
Thanks for all your advice, much appreciated.0 -

No, you won't. If you strictly follow the advice you get from here, especially when appealing to POPLA, you are likely to end it at this stage and rid yourself of this Parking Eye scam. The bonus is you will have cost Parking Eye some £32 into the bargain as they have to pay POPLA when you appeal. And POPLA's decision is binding on them(but not on you).Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Was the car park, by any chance, busy at the time? Did you have to driver round and round to find a parking space? Don't forget that the signs will probably refer to x minutes parking, not x minutes in the car park. (Double check). Plus time to get out if a queue.
So, if they are simply relying on cameras, then this should be a factor.0 -
Here are a load of links I gave someone yesterday, to show examples of early challenge wording then POPLA wording:

But your first port of call must be to COMPLAIN to the Store Manager (not the teen or frump on the CS desk, sorry but it HAS to be the Store Manager, not even a random 'Duty Manager'). Pretending to 'fine' genuine unsuspecting customers flies in the face of customer service and is clearly sharp practice. Show your receipt and the offending fake PCN rubbish to the Store Manager, get really assertive about this and threaten to tell all friends & family never to shop there again. Try that first.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks all for the advice, the car park was not busy at all no queing in or out, looking at the pics they took it was on entry and exit. I have no receipts of proof that i was shopping, does this matter as on the letter they ask for these when appealing?
so...
Appeal to Parking Eye
Then to POPLA after PE reject my appeal?
Im going on hols for 2 weeks on Fri with this hanging over my head, shall i send the appeal to PE on Thur before i go i want to leave it as late as poss to buy some time, i dont want to come home to a chain of letters.
Thanks all great help.0 -
Just send it on the day before you go, you'll have the rejection by the time you come back probably. And don't worry about receipts as the appeal to popla won't be on that.
When you get that single letter come back here for help. The same for the hospital thread that you got upWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

THanks all ill be in touch on both threads. Goint to the 'orange DIY' store tomorrow to see what they have to say about the parking charges.
Just read your draft letter to Popla coupon mad...very mind blowing, can i really send that edited to popla eventhough its way over my head !!0 -
Yes you can as that is what it takes to win at popla. Also don't be fobbed off by b&q speak to the store manager himself, tell him that you will never shop at the store again, and you were looking to get a new kitchen or bathroom through them, but how can you when you are guaranteed a fake ticket when you go there to have it planned out for you? It takes hours to do
If you get no joy there go to the head office with the complaint, and ask them for the b&q registered address as you are considering suing them for the harassment you are getting from their agents, in their car park. Point out that only genuine customers get these tickets, as that is the only way that these companies make money, that is why they do it for free! When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
