Want a New convertable laptop - but is Windows 8 a real problem?

If you get a tablet make sure it has the "full version of windows 8" on it. I understand that the RT version is not selling well and there are rumours that it may be discontinued.
My friend has the ASUS vivotab with the "Full version of Windows 8" installed. Not the RT Version.
She loves it. The windows desktop is difficult to use with just touch screen, so you may want to get one with a detachable keyboard, should you wish to pump data into do spreadsheets etc.0 -

I had a play with Surface RT today - I was actually rather impressed, and really wasn't expecting to be. Free near-full perpetual versions of Office sweeten the deal0
