Hi all!
Hope you are all ok?:)
Been multi tasking big time (it's that time of year!) but just in from the garden for a wee sit down for 15 mins and a nice refreshing glass of fresh orange juice and lemonade (clementine) ........ need to recharge the batteries!:D :rotfl:
Weather been beaut today (and not bad yesterday) and am always amazed at how quickly the plants (and weeds) perk up and go manic when the sun is out (Jack and the Beanstalk springs to mind!!)
Fab pics as always!
Two big local moggies had fisty-paws/claws here in middle of the night!!! The noise!!!
Puddy had a quick nose from my window, then scuttled back to continue sending up the zzzzz's, comfy as you like!
Seen the two 'culprits' out patrolling this afternoon, looking no worse for wear but keeping a safe distance from each other!
Love n hugs to all. Alf xxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -

Used to love growing my own salad oddies as can't beat a really fresh lettuce. (soup/salad/sandwich etc.)
Michael Van Straten use to say a lettuce sandwich was a sleep aid.0 -
Thank you Katie ...... so pleased your meeting went well and so well done with the gym!!! :T:T:T
Exercise can be a wonderful tonic - I even find when I go out walking (weather permitting) that I feel so much better and raring to go for the rest of the day!
Yes, my puddy is a wee tortie, fairly timid and would be no match re the huge moggies who patrol the courtyard at night!!!! She just likes being safe with mum indoors, her haven - very rarely left on her own - maybe just when I shop locally at the village - and then she knows i will be back fairly soon and waits for me.We have fun together and she likes to watch out windows, but dislikes the outside really! Sometimes she will follow me out when I'm gardening, but sticks to me like glue (me and my shadow!!) but never ventures far - a wonderful pal and companion, a real sweet pea!
ILC: I love lettuce, being a veggie - grow my own.
I always say, you can't beat the taste of home grown produce!:D xxxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
thanks for your pics today iluvcats, my favorite lettuce is iceburg as its so lovely and crisp and refreshing. I see you have got a steam cleaner, love mine. I have one that does the carpets as well and they have so many uses. Trouble I have is family want to loan it all the time.
Alfie - keep em coming. I love your puddie stories. I have problems with Lottie barking to go out and then chasing the pigeons. Got Lottie a new football today from poundland as DD's dog bust her last one. As soon as I came home she was sniffing my bag as she knew there was something there for her. She can't get it in her mouth but she loves head butting it back to me.
Katie - glad you have go your internet sorted out Ok.
Oddies - Glad you found your quilt cover, I suppose it was in the last place you looked as well, especially in the Summer when the tumble dryer doesn't get used as much.
Firefly - just noticed it was Glad's birthday from your post in the Chat Corner, thanks. By the was I wonder if the sage would be nice in dumplings as well. Basil and coriander have come through but no sign of the parsley yet.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Oh! Just watching Nature's Newborns on ITV ...... sad to see one tiger cub was a wee weak baby and didn't survive.
However three cubs are thriving
Lovely programme - another topic they are doing: shire horses .... me mam, many many many years ago was brought up with shire horses, on a farm, and the shires ploughed and worked the farm, before modern day machinery. Wonderful creatures, gentle giants and absolutely beautiful animals. xxxxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
AB Being a veggie would mean no BLT!! How are you going to join in with Oddies BBQ!
My meow is small compared to a few others that appear in the garden. I feel like I am protecting my child from school bullies and shooed a couple off!! (one of them has had a go at me!)
customer service >< down the pan as toaster etc. are stuck somewhere in the Bermuda triangle instead of here!

Just odd irritating jobs, don't want to eat into my compo time or upset meow too (good valid excuse!) long!! (fur's going to fly!! :rotfl:)
The microwave seams/joins could do with a blast etc.
How's your 2 woof's with yours?
Only like green lettuces as purple ones are too bitter0 -

Bummer!!! What does BLT mean?:rotfl: I can have fun without BLT, whatever it means?:D:rotfl::rotfl: I'm happy with a lettuce leaf!!! Does that count? Or a radish, spring onion, odd tom I'm not fussy, really I'm not

I am the same as you re puddy, she's small, I look after her like a wee child, she is my constant companion after rather a hard few yearsand certainly the big cats outside would certainly scare the life out of her. However, they are quite nice when you get to know them, I have petted them, then gently sent them on their way. But puddy just likes to watch and has no inclination to befriend them!!!!
