Wingo couldn't you get a neighbour to watch for you. I find my number on my neighbours door quite often ie "Please deliver to No 7 if not in"
Don't mind as they would do it for me and sometimes do.

Sylvia, don't think the hotel is posh - it just looks nice in its grounds. Not posh for the lakes anyway and prices for meals at night look OK. It is supposed to be half price but the lakes ask silly prices in the summer. Planning a walk along The River Derwent which is next to the hotel - DH studying the OS Map. Cockermouth is the birthplace of Wordsworth by the way if anyone is interested.

My neighbours are at work too Sheils. I don't think I would like to leave key with anyone else as I don't know them that well. Gonna give it ten mins and give MIL a call...who will probably moan that she isn't feeling well or not dressed.

Washboard not needed Alfie, my washer is safely in the kitchen! Just need a strong man to lift it up so I can unscrew the safety bolts! I've done the rest! Might call Inspector Gadget...otherwise known as the MIL :think:
