Samsung Galaxy S3 Best Price Amazon? Guarantee?

Hi

Was thinking of buying an S3, I've done loads or reading up and think it's the phone for me.

Have not done a lot of work to find where the best price is. I'd like to buy one sim free and unlocked.

Amazon looks good, but it looks like it is fulfilled by a separate marketplace seller and Amazon don't fulfill it themselves.

I have two questions if anyone would like to help me:

1. Does anyone know of a better price than Amazon? Amazon is £330 for the pebble blue 16Gb?

2. Despite all the Googling I'm doing I can't figure out if I get any sort of guarantee if I buy from Amazon. There's a kind of "Marketplace" guarantee, but that only seems to cover you if you buy something from a marketplace seller and it does not turn up or is not as described.

Prices seem to be getting pretty keen on the S3. I was looking at that myself, but have decided to go for a Google Nexus 4 instead. 40/50 quid cheaper than the S3 as well and the specs are virtually identical.

Thanks guys. Malc44 - the Nexus was my first idea, but no expandable storage and no USB OTG support put me off it. cheers

The lack of expandable storage initially put me off the Nexus, but when I looked at how much storage I had used on my previous phone, I realised that the 32GB version was perfectly adequate for my needs.

I stream my music so don't have much stored on my phone.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't totally discard it because of the storage :)

Haha yes sorry. I had a 32GB SD card in my last phone which I never got near to filling. Maybe I should proof read my posts before I submit them :D

I have been tooing and froing between the Nexus 4 and the S3 for quite some time now.

Well it is getting close to decision time and I think it is going to be the S3.

The clincher is the fact that the S3 is for sale at Asda for £319 which is around £30 more that the Nexus (inc delivery that works out at £390), butt the S3 has expandable storage, a bigger screen etc. Specwise there is a whisker in it, but these small but significant things are swaying me towards the Samsung.

Thanks for all your help guys, I went for the Galaxy 3 from Asda. I wouldn't never have thought of buying it from there so you saved me a few quid. I'm only slightly kicking myself as they do free pick up from store, but I need it for next Thursday, so won't be back to our local Asda on time. I hear what you say about the Nexus and was really tempted, but I tend to use smart phones almost to destruction and do daft things life feel like listening to music in Paris where it costs a fortune to stream (I had to have "Riders on the Storm" when I visited the grave of Jim Morrison - sad but true). Also I still use my 7 year old digital SLR so I fancy trying out USB OTG and trying to upload some pics from the SLR to the S3. cheers
