. There's absolutely no option for cheaper alternatives at all. They hold you to ransom by only making the stuff available in one place. It really gets on my you know what's
Oh that was a rantSarahdol75 wrote: »Yes our school is the same, they say we are not even allowed to buy school shirts or trousers from supermarkets as not school regulation, I have known some children to be sent home because the school has said their uniform is not up to scratch. It is disgusting the prices of it all.fairclaire wrote: »Same here! Trousers and skirts are embroidered with the school logo, and we get to pay the princely sum of £27 per pair for the pleasure. My DS can ruin a pair in no time because he trips and falls alot and can put holes in them in no time.
I do believe it's something that can't be enforced but the alternative is flouting the rules and make your child stick out like a sore thumb? My DS2 will do enough of that thanks to his autism, so I don't want to make it any worse
wow am in shock my ds3 is in secondary school i have just spent £40 on his uniform for next year including sports stuff still need to buy trainers but that is it he will have everything he needs so i really feel sorry for those of you being stitched up by your schools. seems so wrong.0 -

Thanks for that I'm sure I applied for the FOC case months ago, I've put it in my car as DS2 loves it.0 -
I'll be paying out by Sept too - DS pre school insists on a uniform (including a little peaked cap
) He will look lovely but I'll just keep thinking "how much?!" when he puts it on :rotfl: I won't be laughing come September

DS school has just changed the uniform again.
New logo so whole new load of stuff
I count myself lucky though as they're allowed a 2 year overlap (apart from Septembers intake) and only certain parts of the uniform are compulsary (we live in a scummy area where everybody can afford diddly squat)
Still a new blazer is gonna set me back north of £30
I've got to ask though, are all these schools everyones ranting about Academies? DS school isHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55
