Someone told me you could eat the pods off young broad beans.I might try it this year.Has anyone else tried this?

You can eat them but they're quite tough I find. My OH uses the pods from the peas and beans to make soup. It's similar to pea and ham soup and very nice. We have no waste from our peas and beans at all. We eat pea shoots, eat the peas and beans and use the shells. The chickens eat what's left :D

Edit: Im not sure how he makes this soup and he's out ATM but I will ask him when he returns

Not caught up since this morning but.....

Can confirm that the Medley Rocky Road does act as a trigger and does not appear on the APG :) Good spot FloFlo :T:T

    Shop done @ 9.09

    A v's S

    2 x McVitie's Medley Hobnob Raisin &Milk Chocolate Ba.... £3.78 £1.74

    £3.78 v £1.57 (£1.74 less 10%)

    = £2.21

    £3.50 - £2.21 = £1.29

    £1.29 for 3 boxes or 43p each

(7.1...p per bar - is that good Savvy? :p)

Hope I have got the maths right...

Just opened a box of my 1p Jacob's Savoury Favourites.

I have one compartment totally empty

Box was fully sealed and no broken biscuits or crumbs present - just 1 empty compartment.

Is a complaint taking it a bit far?

I would complain to Jacobs - no receipt needed:D

Tell them where and when you bought them, how you love them and how disappointed you were :D
