Just done my good deed for the day. A small white tailed bumblebee got caught in a cobweb in my conservatory, and was frantically trying to escape from the spider that was almost upon it. I rescued it, but it was entangled in the web so tightly that it couldn't open it's wings. I used a piece of wire and one of those little dental brushes to pull off the silk and he flew free.:j:j
Has anyone else noticed the lack of honeybees this year. Normally my garden is full of them, but next to none so far. Is it the same situation all over the UK? I can ask on here cos you lovely lot come from all over the place.:D

Plenty of bumble bees and honey bees in our garden - but then we have a cotoneaster bush in the garden and they love that
We live near Camberley. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
