DIY Completion of Stamp Duty Tax Return Form

Hi,
I would like to complete the stamp duty land tax form myself as my solicitor will otherwise charge me a fair bit extra to do it.
Could you advise whether it is easier to do it online or by hard/paper copy? Also do you think I will find it difficult given I am computer literate and have completed income tax returns online myself as I'm self employed.
Many thanks

It is easier in paper format if you are not computer literate.
If you are computer literate, doing it online is easier as you will not have to walk to the post box.
If you are reasonably intelligent and literate (which one assumes if you do your own tax returns) then you should have no problem.0 -
Thanks for your reply. Discovered as an individual I'm not allowed to do this type of return online so will have to go down the paper route anyway!0

her only option is paper submission0 -
not so - online submission to HMRC is ONLY possible if you are a solicitor and are registered with HMRC: Note that individuals not represented by a solicitor, agent or legal conveyancer need to submit paper returns manually.

She's already established that- but thanks for confirming.
I did my last one via paper version (obviously!) but had forgotten why!0
