Halight - I am just the same, still getting really tired after my op, and it was a week ago. Glad I was signed off for 3 weeks!
Stitches came out yesterday. Nurse and healthcare assistant were both lovely, as I'm a bit of a wuss! After that went and popped my sick note in, then was pooped for the rest of the day!
JackieO - hope the weather holds out, the fete sounds great.
Healing wishes to anyone tha needs them!
I think its just one of them things.
The tiredness should sort its self out after the body has repaired itself after the Op, I guess the body has to work hard to repair any damage done to it. Weather its a small Op or a major one like heart bypass.
Still at least both our Op's are now done, And the waiting around is over.
Hopefully we will both continue to recover well,:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Well things went a bit bottoms up today, I had a call from my youngest DD first thing to say that she had booked herself into the emergency dentist as she was in agony and would I take her .So after dropping off the baking at the eldest's house I then scooted to youngest ones place to pick her up.We got to the dentists surgery and after relieveing her of £18.00 he said its not your teeth, go to the Medocc centre and see a Dr.We went back to her house and she rang them and they said they could see her this afternoon .So I took the boys to the fete We were a bit late but at least we showed up .Not a bad turn out, and only a shower of rain right at the end of the fete which wasn't too bad.Back to Dds to pick her up, and off to the Drs centre.By this time she was in so much pain she was in tears. Now my youngest is a tough lady and after having five children it takes a lot to make her cry but she was in an awful state .We got into see the Dr and apparently he said its Trigeminal Neuralgia. He gave her a presciption, and we went off to get it.By the time we got home she was grey with pain poor love. She took the tablets and was getting blurred vision ,and her face was losing feeling so I rang them back and said what's next that I can do.The very nice Dr said that she should try to get some sleep (she's not slept for a couple of nights properly) and then ring back at 6.00.I made her a hot water bottle for her face and just sat and cuddled her for an hour or so.Bless her she looked dreadful I have never heard of this but aparrently its not a nice thing to get at all.We rang back at 6.00 and he suggested Ibuprofen on top of what she's already taking and her OH whizzed out to get her some I left about half an hour ago hoping she will get some relief .I have never seen anyone in such pain before ,DD is normally quite a stoical person as a rule and to see her in tears cracked me up .I am hoping the tablets will kick in tonight and give her some relief
I'm just about to have a bite to eat then I think I'll have an early night.
Hope everyones day has been less traumatic than mine has been
Take care all

Oh Jackie I do sympathise. Ive had four children and suffer from an absolutely excruciating migraine syndrome. It is ten times worse than childbirth and i have had to be forcibly restrained from gouging my eye out.
If it persists then perhaps a trip to casualty or request morphine to take the edge of it -I have had a couple of shots and it does help xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Just catching up on todays posts.
JackieO what an awful day for you. I hope your daughter gets relief from the medication tonight.
As for vinegar on weeds. Sorry but ive tried vinegar and salt and the best thing I found was bleach.:D Even bleach hasn't killed the rampant peony in my front garden though.
Hubby cooked tea tonight. With a little help with ready made rice and a few packets of this, and a few packets of that....Not that i'm complaining though it was nice not to have to cook this evening.
Theres nothing on telly I want to watch and the pear cider I drank an hour ago has gone to my head a little bit so i'm going to get ready for bed I think.
Another early night on the cards for me.

JackieO so sorry to hear about your DD! Hope she feels better soon.
Halight - pleased to hear you're making progress.
Hi & hugs to everyone else.
Made HM burgers tonight & popped a baby bel in the middle of each - yummy!
Served them with wedges and a side salad so fitted in with my SW regime
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
