I couldn't care less mate. I use tracfone on a quarterly basis, and always get charged 0.5 unites per minute for my local calls, and, for my international long distance access.
Just stating the facts.
I'm sorry, but you sneeringly accused me of lying and not knowing what I was talking about, when everything I posted was sourced directly from the Tracfone website.
Part of the art of being helpful is to match the answer to the original question, rather than harping on about one's own choices, which may have different circumstances.
It's quite evident that you don't care less, as you've overlooked the OP already having a phone to use.
Even if you can make calls at 17 cents, which is possible with an add-on that you still didn't bother to detail, there are still options starting at 11 or 12 cents on GSM networks that don't require buying a CDMA phone that would become redundant for someone making a single trip, as is the doubled minutes option for only modest one-off use.0 -

If so I hope she loves it as much as I did) and I put 20 quid on my UK PAYG mobile for texting (my camp was quite remote so didn't have service most of the time) and used a pre-paid calling card for phoning home. One of my friends looked into it last summer and got an amazing deal with Verizon which was apparantly quite cheap running-costs wise and he got a phone included.
Forgot to say: I had my phone unlocked before I went to live in Canada and purchased a cheap sim card there, which saved me a fortune, but again for long calls home I went with calling cards - good luck deciding!
Thanks tumbleweed261 my niece left today bound for JFK, shes going to camp ladore (?) as part of camp america. This is her first time in the big wide word on her own so naturally me sis is upset as the apron strings don't stretch that far lol.
Thanks to all of you for your input she has been reading this thread so I hope she has paid attention - otherwise my sis will have a massive bill. :rotfl:
Thanks again xIf Tescos and Asda are lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet? :rotfl:0
