Sky Sports package. Don't watch it myself - but it keeps my husband out of my hair for hours.
But we do use Aldi cheapo toilet paper.0 -

Yes I am a mighty wire fan:T
10 years ago we had to give up our season tickets for a couple of seasons, thought I didn't mind at the time but now I regret it. (But that's mainly because I support Widnes and had to wait a long time to see them back in SL again). Now I think I should just set fire to my money and save myself the agony every week :rotfl:
Gave up pretty much everything else when we were in debt too so I learned to cook and bought one nice ingredient every week to build up our pantry.0 -

oooo I like this thread.
1) I am also a Lurpack freak. I have tried other butters but there is something about that delicious salty stuff that blows my mind.
2) Coffee. I only buy beans. Grind what I need. Perfect, freshly roasted coffee every time. I love coffee.
3) My smart phone. Addict no 1 right here. Hate to be out of the loop at any time.
I really think thats it, and if i had to pick 1 above all, it would be coffee

Hi, I love this thread......
My vices:- Full AA membership with the parts and labour......the reason being we got stung coming back home on a low loader years ago 17 mile trip cost us £180 - AA cover about £250 and if something needs replacing it is covered by them - we just pay the cost/excess. A couple of months ago, we thought the clutch was on it's way out as the revs kept on dropping. I got home and called out mr AA and it turned out to be the coil pack....cost to us £35 cost of replacing in a garage £150 - £200 ?
- My gym membership - although I don't seem to have the time to go at the moment, I can't cancel it - to me it would be like 'giving up' on ever being a size 16 (or smaller of course).....this is paid for by splitting my railfare to work each month
- My full sky subscription - we live at home with my mum so have multiroom and hubby insists on having sports as he used to spend £20 in the pub on match days (now its more like £5) and as we don't go out at the weekends, it is our only form of entertainment

- pretty full tv package (minus sports), as I never go out and that makes it relatively cheap entertainment in the evenings. Also DS1 has SNs and tends to obsess over programmes so this makes it easier to bring up a particular programme again and again without buying a DVD.
- tumble dryer (although I air the clothing out so they're already mostly dry before tossing them in the dryer so there's less energy usage)
I think that my biggest spend is keeping the heater up in the winter. I hate being cold, and having to get up repeatedly during the night with DS1 means I can't just burrow under covers and stay warm. So I like to have the house warm enough so I'm not shivering for 20 minutes trying to get back to sleep 3-4 times every night after getting up to get him settled again.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

So are you saying your car is covered for all repairs?
I've never heard of anything like that before.
I'm going to look into that :-)0 -

Basically, it is covered for repairs which are not wear and tear......such as if the head gasket goes or the widget breaks and causes a breakdown and call out to them - you pay an excess figure and they pay the rest OR you pay all of it and they send you a cheque (depends on the garage). You need to ensure that the car has been well maintained .
The best thing to do is call them or look on their website.

The Internet.
Technically, it is a luxury, in that I could manage without it.
However, if I didn't have it, I'd spend more on snail mail so, in reality, it doesn't cost me very much.0
